Though there is no official release from the Philippine Rugby Football Union (PRFU) about this, they have a roster released and a picture featuring former USA 7s coach Al Caravelli taking on the same position in the Philippines. Though he didn't get the results we hoped for this year, he built a solid 7s program that is capable of beating anyone when playing their best. Philippines now have arguably one the best 7s coaches in Asia on their side. Though not all their players were available for the Borneo 7s from August 31-September 2, the Philippines players will be able to gain valuable advice and if he stays long enough I fully believe he will build a solid 7s program within the Philippines as well as creating a consistently competitive international side.
