Al Baxter, the most-capped prop in the history of Australian rugby, has announced that he will retire at the end of the 2011 season.

I was a bit harsh on Al Baxter last year he was underperforming and I thought he should have retired in 2009 and not bothered with the 2010 Super 14 season, but that said this season he has been by far one of the best props in Australia, him and Sekope Kepu have really made the Waratahs scrum stable this year and I think he fully deserves to make the Wallabies one last time, 1. Baxter 3. Kepu 17. Slipper. Al Baxter knows that he won't get another shot at the Wallabies so I really hope Robbie Deans selects him even if just to give him the final wallabies game he deserves.
