A Tuilagi vs M Nonu

Tuilagi didn't show anything in the Rugby World Cup his offense was average but his defense was shocking. Paul Sackey ran around him for a bonus point try for England. If he hadn't of let Sackey do that England may have not even made it as far as they did but Tuilagi slacked off. So for that hes s***.

Ma'a Nonu played heaps of seasons right beside Umaga you'd think he would of learnt something but I don't know why he's so crap but I hope he gets better because we are really lacking in the centres.

I'd have to say Nonu for his 1st tackle breaking ability
[/b]

Nonu is definatley better. Tuilagi might be stronger but as shown in the world cup he's quite unfit. I don't think tuilagi should be playing on the wing he's not fast enough. He should be a number eight or even a prop

What are you talking about?

That's quite possibly the worst argument against Tuilagi so far.

From what he showed in the Rugby World Cup Tuilagi was outpaced by his opposite thou big and strong he just couldn't keep up with the other wingers.

Ma'a Nonu is pretty much the same big and strong but often outpaced out on the Wing but in the centre's if he makes a break he rarely gets stopped and recently shown he does have distribution skills which has been foreign for him in the past.

Nonu was the best rugby player not to be playing in the world cup. Nonu is one of the most exciting players to watch.

right thats just wrong im not allowing that to be said ever again

'i tell ye if he'd played england wouldnt have stood a chance lets be honest they hate him'

why? i missed that!

I have to go with tuilagi- havn't seen too much of nonu but tuilagi is a beast! what about comparsons with some other monsters- rabeni and taione and that aussie- can't think of his name but he's a great tackle breaker- didn't see him at the world cup- he's got a funny sounding name! damn that's so annoting- can't think for the like of me.

Because he has a history of ripping England to pieces every time he plays against them.

As for Nonu being the best player not to feature at the RWC - he wasn't even the best Kiwi not there! Piri Weepu is a much better rugby player. I'm still mystified as to why they didn't take him.

right i get you- i thought he'd done something offensive that i missed......

ye i couln't agree more about weepu- i've always really rated him- maybe someone can explain?

also it's a shame vainikolo didn't switch earlier- i think he is going to be a massive star, he hasn't got age on his side though. what is he 28 now?

For all his good attributes Tuilangi has a big problem with his game, balance. With his height and strength i sometimes feel he should be able to use it more effectively, he seems to go down fairly easily and doesnt consider the bigger picture in terms of looking for support runners. I would say they are similar but i doubt Tuilangi would get into the All Blacks first team, so Nonu.

But Nonu doesn't get into the All Blacks first team...

Correct, but Nonu was a starter in the 2003 world cup and played a pivotal part in the destruction of the Lions, i just think he has a bit more to offer.

Nonu wasn't a starter in the 2003 World Cup, they played him for limited time against Italy when Umaga went down, than played Panadol for the rest of the tournament at at centre.

Don't think Nonu even sniffed the field against the Lions either.

Because he did stuff all in the Tri Nations... and he eats too many pies the little tubby, not sure if it was true or not, but rumour has it that he was the only one who gained weight in the off season.

Tuilangi is all brawn and no brain... He does more mistakes then anything else

Tuilagi is very fast and very strong ! I think it's a really really great player ! (Like Habana ^^)

He played for Wellington in a mid week game against them to be perfectly accurate. Think they lost 26-6 or something and Nonu did bugger all. That's his problem, he rarely plays to his ability. If he did, he'd be a sure thing in the All Blacks.

Tuilagis class, he's brutal, he can score tries on reputation alone! [/b]

Unless he gets thumped into touch by a frenchman;

Or even by little Paul Diggin! (see: Leicester v Northampton, Welford Road 06/07 Premiership)

In all seriousness however, this isn't even an arguement. Tuilagi is a superb footballer while Nonu is a mascara wearing, clumsey ponce.
