One of the reasons why I'm anti-tattoos. Can be misinterpreted and even dangerous in some situations (like this situation or in a prison etc). Hopefully he and his family will have a good holiday without problems though.

How did you interpret what he was saying?

He said you can talk about it as evidenced by the fact he was indeed talking about it there and then on the biggest podcast in the world. Where he made a clear distinction is that people like Smith and Rogan, and himself obviously, have a lot of power and even though they play the "I'm not an expert" card they then do a 3 hour long podcast basically chatting conspiracy **** a lot of the time and giving off the impression they know what they're talking about. In Smiths case he even actively contradicts himself by saying he's more knowledgable than virologists.

You see it with this Churchill was the bad guy in WW2 ********, you see it with the BS Putin/ukraine stuff. You see it just about everywhere these days but this is the social media/do your own research era. What a time to be alive.

Ok so firstly, everything on SM is fake and created for views, this is factual lol.

Secondly, I think your being super charitable on Murray here, he advocated for not allowing those 2 guys Carroll and the other one on podcasts with big platforms. Which let's be honest is ironic considering Murrays previous affiliations and platforms lol.

Now I could get on board with being sensible and transparent with guests and ideas, and tbh I think Rogan probably does as good a job as any, but to make the claim Rogan doesn't have enough pro Isreal guests is just wildly unfair.

Murrays Churchill trauma, and i didnt see the podcast with the guy in question claiming Churchill was partly responsible for elongating WW2, and using the Nazis post war to subvert the Soviets etc, has been around a few years after he went full throttle against extreme left wingers who attempted to demonise Churchill.

Let's say im as charitable as you are, starting the podcast that way was ugly, he played semantic games throughout, contradicted himself a few times, and was stumped by Smith on a few occasions. Also his stance on Isreal is incredibly biased, I was a bit shocked by how brutal he was, even refusing to acknowledge certain descriptors, and claiming everything Isreal have done is justified and necessary.

Does Murray just flat out hate Islam?

I think he has a bit of a semi when it comes to Islam and I think you're right to highlight how biased he is towards Isreal. But this is how ****** it is. We basically had 3 right wing people in that conversation. Sure, Smith and Rogan will say they're libertarians or some such ******** but they're essentially conservatives who want to do drugs, and out of those 3 it's not even a question who I would value the opinion the most (even if I totally disagreed with it) and it's Douglas ******* Murray. That's how ****** things have got now. Same thing over here, I just wish we had Tories like Ken Clarke and John Major again. It's only going to get worse, though, we're normally a few years behind America so it'll be a Reform win in the next GE for sure. lol.

There are multiple reasons to have them. My wife has varicose veins and she's always been self conscious of them. Since having a fairly large black fine detail floral tattoo down her leg she gotten way more body confident in showning legs.

Mines just cause I'm a massive nerd and like to have have symbold to stuff I've done.

But I'd agree their popularity and acceptance has spike massively in the last decade (this is purely anecdotal).

Those days are long gone, we are probably more likely to see a Farage take over of the Tories, and an alignment with parties like the AFD, NR and Brothers of Italy.

In our culture tattoos are rather seen bad (at least in the previous years). Something related to the so called A.U.E (criminal subculture).

It was good in my opinion because there was genuine pushback and a challenging of ideas. Rogan will normally just let some random idiot chat **** for hours with no challenge so it was good to see someone actually call him and Smith out for their BS.

Noone got called out though, Murray near immediately backtracked when Smith claimed to have not had those 2 guys on his podcast, and Rogan had only had only had them once after the claim it happened constantly. He also back tracked on what the guys said, he said they claimed to be experts and they said Churchill was responsible for ww2, which was countered that they never helped either view (I have nonidea if they did or didn't btw).

I also really don't like this current attitude that jokes are just bad comments in bad faith with the punchline get out clause (depending on who agrees with you). This really is a slippery slope to authoritarianism, deciding whose content or even intent should be the codified correct one, it takes some hubris to make that argument. It's strange because in recent years it was people complaining that right wingers were being platformed unethically, now it seems to be shifting, as the right takes the space, to right wingers wanting to morally censor. I mean thebidea Rogan HAS to interview more pro isreal guests, as claimed by Murray is wild.

In our culture tattoos are rather seen bad (at least in the previous years). Something related to the so called A.U.E (criminal subculture).

In the UK their prevalent in criminal gangs but also the military (particularly navy I think) but also alternative subcultures.

My reasons are less complex but would also take me to explain my hobbies outside of Rugby in details.
