Take yesterday, the park by me is riddled with litter, gas cannisters, cider cans etc... I spent 20 mins popping the litter in a bin. I didn't rant and rave about how I'm Emboldening others poor behaviour.

Embolden the monster who dropped an egg while bringing in their shopping?!

This is what I mean, the same thinking that derives people like Ragey to read a comment online, infer intent and sceam nazi, is the same when he sees a broken egg on the floor and decides it's a hate crime.

The only times I've lived blocks like this I feel like I was pretty courteous, I'd help people with the bins, de frost their car when doing my own, and shovel the path, all while paying maintenance on the building. I also held that maintenance company to a decent standard by playing Karen a few times lol.

Like Trump's tariffs, I can't effect what he does next, but I can keep reacting to the markets and averaging money in as the prices go down, so when they return to ATHs I'll have made a few thousand. My goal is for Trump to pay for my lions tour (missus allowing).

Er I told you the egg was broken because someone tried to force it into my letter box as an act of pettiness..I had to clean out my letter box but didn't clean the mess on the floor.

But sure, you think you know it all don't you, including the goings on in my own home. God you are up your own arse.

It's also telling you completely ignored the bit about the broken gate, the faulty intercom etc. It's almost like the egg was one among many issues I'm annoyed at with respect to the service charge, you then latched on to it and presented it instead as I'm all huffy about paying service charge because one accidently dropped egg. You're such a ******* liar.

Dude you have just created a classic strawman argument by reframing a valid complaint about raw egg mess (worst case a minor rant) into a hate crime with reference to Nazis. That's unhinged. It was a civil matter about a private building and you opted to politicise it.

You then spend a few minutes ranting about other people's invalid rants and that you're an advocate of letting small things slide because life's too short?! The last 10-20 pages suggest otherwise lol

Life is too short, sun's out, I'm taking things easy, bit of gardening, bit of discussion on a forum, watch some rugby and Margeritas with the BBQ on, there's no frustrations here, especially with the abuse on these boards directed at someone trying to rationalise current global affairs.

Please be out, if Peter Jones is someone you quote, maybe contribution isn't your thing lol okbthat was mean, but I just got porridge and blueberry in my beard while typing.

For those interested in rationalising Trump's tarriffs, this was a decent listen in the shower...

The idea that Trump is re industrialising to globally jostle and re establish the US ability to out military China when the needs arise, and to reset negotiations and stop the dollar global currency slide...

I'm not an economist, I'm not sure if someone here could shed more light into how a mass scale reset could work, or the weaknesses behind the theory, but I though this guy made some decent points.

FTR before I'm told he's a MAGA conspiracy theorist, I've seen similar arguments made in a channell 4 interview with the president of Queens college, who claimed as a one of the tarriffs might be a catalyst for renegotiation as the 85 plaza accord did.

Also telling you AGAIN try to turn it on me by claiming I'm the bad neighbour, the person responsible actually has had multiple warnings for anti-social behaviour, which included repeatedly yelling at screaming at 3-6 in the morning waking me and others up, but again you try to turn my complaint on me with a fabricated scenario in which I'm the culprit. What's wrong with you?

2. Yes they do regularly break down, but it doesn't take 1.5 years to sort out a new intercom system or 6 months to fix a gate.

I do control the things I can control and I have gone karen mode. If I pay a large sum for a service, I expect that service. You apparently don't. I used to live in a shared house where I cleaned up after everyone and you know what happened? People just made even more mess on the assumption I'd keep cleaning it. I stopped doing that a few years ago before I moved to my current address.

But as usual you've taken legitimate complains about a service not being delivered after being paid for and tried to paint it as me that's the problem. You always do this.

I find it amusing how my personal circumstances are misleading. 217K for a 2 bedroom house. Said house merely 6 years later is worth 269K (house on same streer was only innthe market for 2 weeks). This is supposed to be house for first time buyers not people in their late 30's to early 40's and there are no young couples around here.

In equal measure just for the generational gap my Dad is only 24 years older than me. By 26 he had 2 kids and owned a large 3 bedroom home. We're similarly educated (actually went to the same University/Polytechnic) and we both work in engineering (he's a production engineer whilst I'm software) our spouses both worked similar levels of working class jobs. Infact my mother was able to work part time.

Just to also note on this heavy amount of borrowing interest rates make a massive difference on affordability. 6 years ago 2.1% now it's looks like 4.3% is about average and when I had to reup my fixed rate last year it was closer to 6....

Might explain it?

Shame on you for not litter picking half of Birmingham and valeting your neighbours cars. Whilst working the stock market and paying off 90% of Cardiffs mortgages

You could easily reduce your service charge if you did the building maintenance yourself.

And there we have it, trivialising the complaint about excessive service charges related to flat ownership and the poor service delivered for that down to a single incident. The egg thing was just one part of it as an example of even the most simple thing they aren't delivering on and you've turned it into the whole thing, whilst fabricating scenarios in which I am the culprit.

And then you sit there whinging about others making claims about your life and how you are oh so rational. Nah, you are just contrarian for the sake of it and this example proves it. Given a personal story you decide to take the opposite stance and blame me despite known a grand total of nothing about the story. You wanted to do it JUST to be in opposition. Says the guy who butted in to a comment that wasn't originally directed at him to turn the entire thing into an egg discussion and to repeatedly try to find a way to twist it to be me at fault.

I was trying to have a discussion about service charges being too high and not offering the service to begin with, you are the one who trivialised it.
