A Political Thread pt. 2

But in your own analogy, this is a discussion in which someone makes the claim, you never made breakfast in bed for your wife, before shooting 3 people. It is 100% a false claim then, and needs to be addressed.

You shooting 3 people would be bad, but it very much must be said you made breakfast for your wife.

I get what your saying, in the context of a Trump presidency, that you believe is absolutely evil, that discussing facts about achievements of that pure evil isn't relevant.

My point is, truth and honesty is always relevant, and the fact you have picked a team, being anti Trump regardless of what he does, and refusing to acknowledge his achievements, is the exact same cult like behaviour MAGA supporters show when they blindly defend him. Both of you are ignoring complexities and nuance, and both of you are trying to win, instead of seek the betterment of mankind.

Serious question, if Trump manages to negotiate with Netinyahu and Putin to stop both actions of aggression, both come to the table for peace talks and both credit Trump as the catalyst for peace, including Zelensky and Hamas / Palestinian leaders, how would you manipulate that as Trump bad?!
If he does something good then I'll say so. Still waiting.

Did you know Hitler liked dogs? I don't think enough of that is taught in schools to be honest.
Your being a reductionist to win an argument, I know your a smart critical thinker, your takes on rugby are very in depth and considered, even if we disagree with some things. Your actions here don't seem to be as considered.

Why is that?

I'm making a point to highlight how ridiculous your position is. I haven't made my mind up whether you're genuine in your "both sides" schtick or whether you're being disingenuous and using it as these other so called centrists do and say hey I know Trump is not good guys but what about the hunter biden lap top" or "trump doesn't drink alcohol bro and is a good parent even though he wants to **** his daughter"

So you disagree operation warp speed was a positive for the planet?

Are you disagreeing that Al Sharpton and Rev Jesse Jackson awarded Trump with a civil rights award? Or his donation to the Nation Youth convention run by both was real?

Come on man, your better than this

You think the guy who said you should drink bleach during a global pandemic sat down and organised all of that. lol. I didn't have you down as naive.

Yeah forgot your not allowed to have an opinion on a war unless your actually fighting in it like you. Oh wait
Julia is fighting with her words, for mother Russia

You know I'm genuine, as per my drunken emotional rants about Welsh rugby hahahaha

More than happy to buy you a drink some day and discuss over a pint (of whiskey in my case lol).

I'm not a centrist, I'm politically all over the map and a bit homeless. I've been pretty outspoken as a heartbroken Corbynista, with views on economics and social issues slightly contradicting each other.

There are issues I don't hold a stance because I'm not as educated, like abortion. I always make the same misogynistic joke to avoid the subject:

I'm all for killing babies, but I don't like giving women a choice (waiting for the ban).

But my midwife missus tells me why I am anti abortion, I listen on times.

Economically I am pro UBI. I have written a study on the Welsh UBI experiment, and work with those kids who it was given to, and concluded the politicians who run it are scumbags for making it fail.

Socially I am a Stonewall and LGBTQ advocate, but I can recognise the rot that has set in to stonewall. I remember the days when 150 of us marched down Queen street on Pride, and getting into fights with arseholes. Last year I spent a few hours waiting to March on Westgate street rethinking why I was there, with all the pro labour, anti semitism messaging etc. I always go, and always take disabled kids I work with, but it's not what it used to be (showing my age hahaha).

For the record, I'm sat enjoying a margarita in the sun, enjoying spirited debate. No ill will here, certainly not today with my dogs behaving well for once

That's all good mate and I would happily have a drink with you but this contrarian stuff is not good. It's completely irrelevant most of the time, just like bringing up Hitler loved animals if talking about the Holocaust. Maybe Trump has done some good thing but then Jimmy Saville did loads for charity, who gives a ****. Lets look at what they say and, more importantly, what they do.

Come on....

"And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it'd be interesting to check that, so that you're going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we'll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That's pretty powerful."

This is a babble of a speach, rambling thoughts out loud, about finding a way to use ultra violet light and disinfectant that both provably killed Covid on surfaces etc , and finding a way to introduce it tot the human system. It's a stupid way of putting it I agree, but if I refuse to lambast Biden for his ramblings, because there were a LOT of nefarious use of his speeches to criticise him, I have to stay logically consistent and call this the same way. It's a stupid way of saying it, but he's talking about finding a cure. He wasn't in a lab screaming drink it, he was misappropriation funds to funnel to operation warp speed where they found the vaccine

I know I'm not invited, but I wouldn't have a drink with either you.

1) You're Welsh and I don't need to hear about stories of how you bumped into Shane Williams in Aldi and he side stepped you, leaving you off balance.
2) Brains is awful
3) Wales is a bit wet

Sure, I was using slightly more dramatic language but how many of his cultists do you think listened to that and went straight to the cupboard under the sink? More than one is my guess.

But really I only brought it up to counter your operation warp speed thing. If a stupid guy (and Trump isn't the brightest) is saying something stupid like that during a pandemic it's a bit silly to suggest he was instrumental in operation warp speed. More like it was rolled out by people who wouldn't say maybe we can look into getting some bleach inside people to cure Covid. lol

And you think MAGA fans going under the sink would be a bad thing? You should be shouting that claim from the rooftops hahahaha

My point is, it's false to say he claimed drinking bleach, the same way all the media did. I'll use another Jo the nazi Rogan example, when CNN called Ivermectin a horse de wormer, and put a green filter on a video to make Rogan look sick.

Ivermectin was prescribed by a doctor, as is all over the world for a number of treatable issues, confirmed by a CNN Dr participant who spoke on the JRE podcast soon after, and Cuomo who made the claim in an interview after admiting it was a lie. CNN lied about Jo Rogan telling people to take horse de wormer, the FDA issued a statement telling people they are not horses. This is all factually accurate, it doesn't make everything CNN does or says good or bad, it doesn't make anything Rofan says good or bad, but these details are important.

You like many others just attribute rumour and falsehood to Trump, like the Russian pee parties, as fact, and refuse to acknowledge achievements, so you think he is bad over all. I think he is a business tycoon who became leader of the free world twice, and I don't think idiots become billionaires or presidents (I thinknthey play that sometimes).

So I don't attribute nefarious intent at every angle, and view things neutrally, rightly or wrongly.

I've not said anything about the **** parties but Trump did say he's a germaphobe to throw people off the scent which is exactly what I would expect someone who likes to get ****** on would say. Just saying.

Joking aside, his own staff have said he's barely literate. You can tell by the way he speaks he's not exactly a towering intellect.

Ok, so did you criticise Biden for being cognitively challenged? Clinton, or Bush?

Isn't it amazing how all these morons rise to the highest position on the planet?!

None of these people are stupid, there was a great CIA defector who gave an interview in 2014 I think, talking about how each president leans into a character of the countries perception, the ladies man, the moron, the classy statesman, and the racist swine etc...

Hey look, which of us can put our hands up and say we've never participated in any disgusting sex acts?! We are all disgusting meat sacks who will take gratification wherever we can find it...

This is my point, reactionary politics come from suppression. Covid saw the greatest transfer in wealth from the poor to the rich the world has ever seen, more people are left adrift now than ever before, despite living standards and life expectancy growing.

If we don't have honest and nuanced conversations, and just pick a team, allow politicians we hate to be targeted rightly or wrongly, the right wing will gain momentum across Europe and it will be too big to counter and we will see atrocities again!
Problem is, I don't think the parties (left or right) are willing to tackle it. I know quite a few Labour voters who have already said they won't be voting for them again. They won't vote tory, so I'm guessing green etc.
