Supposedly a deal with the u.s is close but a major roadblock is the Digital Services tax which we've been reluctant to budge on. **** america at this point. we should introduce an add-on for overseas based corporations that increases the rate to 50%. as much as suckerberg, elong **** et al will be crying off, ultimately as long as their companies are profitable they will still want the market access. Oh and increase tariffs on defence industry non-essential purchases to 100% - invest in ourselves instead of these obese ungrateful ********

Martinique is part of France = 10% tariffs as other French territories.

France 20% tariffs.

Work that one out.
France should route everything financially through Martinique then, just like American companies book everything through Ireland to avoid tax.

Trump's also trying to take on EU's DMA which he and Cook regards as a tax, rather than what it is, regulation. The sooner apple and the like comply with the antitrust laws the less they will get fined.

The timeline section is a fascinating read.

Looking at it trump (and a bit by Biden) seem to have existing tariffs of a couple of hundred percent before yesterday's **** show

One common theme is strumpet making announcements of agreements by China which noone else can confirm.

I hate to be the one, but...

Mathematics isn't plural, it's just a word that ends in "s"; so abbreviating it with or without the "s" are both valid options.
I'm not a specialist in the history of English language, but when I first saw "mathematics" in English (in my native language the form is "matematika" for ex), I thought that it might be an "adaptation" of one of the cases of neuter gender singular or plural forms of Latin.
In Wikipedia they have two versions and one of them is pretty close to my thought (actually both look very adequate but I'd still choose the first one):
The apparent plural form in English goes back to the Latin neuter plural mathematica (Cicero), based on the Greek plural ta mathēmatiká (τὰ μαθηματικά) and means roughly "all things mathematical", although it is plausible that English borrowed only the adjective mathematic(al) and formed the noun mathematics anew, after the pattern of physics and metaphysics, inherited from Greek

So there's gonna be a rush on everything. I haven't updated my iPhone in 7 years so I just bought a new one. My laptop is fine. I rarely use it but if I needed it more I'd buy one.

Can't afford a new bike right now but those prices are going to sky rocket.
