Project 2025 coming alive, sack government workers then replace them with ultra loyalists.
Ok I now know you don't read this constantly flood of articles lol

Are you OK? Fo you need a hug?

Can we send this to Mr Starmer please lol. Arrested heavy handidly, in front of their disabled child AFTER they had removed the child from the school, was an 'appropriate response' and is 'routine' for a malicious communication complaint in which there was admittedly after the fact, 0 evidence of such.

It's almost like 1 of 2 things happen in speech cases:

1. The arrest is the punishment. They knowingly arrested 2 parents of a disabled girl to teach them a lesson, publicly and making a huge furore outside their home with 6 officers and numerous vehicles.

2. They are just so happy to arrest for malicious communications they jump the gun, and then try to find a case against the perceived perpetrator.

Either way, thos is a huge issue only really highlight by articulate, middle class savvy people. This happens daily to the less capable and minorities.

I watched the video and while the guy comes across as very calm and measured I'm left with a feeling of not knowing the full story.

The school used the word harassment and so I'd like to see all the emails and messages ( including dates & times) plus any other evidence that made them come to that conclusion - not just the two 'spicy' comments that he picked.

I'd then like to see the full wording of the complaint given by the school to the police to see if it was false, misleading or grossly over exaggerated. It's possible that the police were acting on false or misleading information.

It may well be that the guy's complaint is valid but I would rather reserve judgement until I have a more complete picture of events.

Yeah, does make me wonder what was actually said - another report on this says they were banned from school premises, and that the police had spoken to them in the past and this had been going on for a year, or something?
And that so many officers were there because there were safe guarding officers because of his disabled daughter and people to get electronic evidence

On the surface it all sounds insane but definitely feels like we're only getting one side of the story

Its the "They're cancelling Christmas" headline 99.9% of the time you find theres a whole bunch of BS behind the reactionary top level view.

Hasn't this already concluded and the police investigation found it never should have been a police matter?
So I went to look for more info, because the comments above are absolutely valid, and I was wondering if I had over reacted.

Apparently, in a statement the police said there was no evidence to support a claim of harassment, and the investigator stated this should never have been a police matter.

So you'd have to wonder, if there was no evidence of harrassment, what prompted the 6 man arrest, knowing they needed specialists for the disabled daughter?

To me it's just another case of the state prioritising questionable speach over property or violent crimes.

Is this systematic or is this lower level individuals? Either way the trend is there. The Milrs Jones story wasn't great, but what shocked me is that police received a complaint for a FB post on the Sunday and were at her door Tuesday.

Recently I waited 3 days for a property damage response. Maybe I should ask the next offender to spray paint a controversial opinion on the damaged property first to get a better response time

It wasn't me
Looks like the money goes to you mate

The guy was a Tory councillor. Not some half wit. Told several times about conduct. Failed to engage and continued his conduct dispite being told not too.

Police professional standards had no issue with the investigation. Chief Constable happy the arrest was lawful.

1) Arrest is normally to obtain evidence by questioning. Also gives legal safe guards to the accused. You also have to provide a legitimate reason for arrest in custody not just because you felt like it.

You have no idea what intelligence or markers are on the individuals. If you are locking up two people ideally you want four people. Searching premises 4-6.

If the police could safely send less people they would, due to demands on service etc

2) They don't need to find a case, a reasonable suspicion of an arrestable offence will do it.

Spot on

Ding ding ding... who had bullshit for 5/2?

Apparently she wasn't taken to hospital straight from the crash, no emergency services attended, both the school bus and her drove off, and she took herself to hospital later?!?!?

She also thought she was just deceivingbher private Facebook friends and not live lol

BBC News - US prosecutors to seek death penalty for Luigi Mangione

Let's be honest, if this wasn't one of the elite that was murdered, they would not be seeking the death penalty or really getting involved at all.

Like Bill Burr said "their not bothered about people being gunned down in New York, they are just bothered about white guys in suits getting shot"

They wouldn't be involved cause it's not a federal crime. Unless they are going to indict everyone who kills someone in a state they don't live in.

Wait, so to refute the idea of police over reach on speech, your using the police as a reference of if anything was done wrong? Before I even go look into these claims, is that your stance lol?

Police and crime commissioner, and investigating officer both claim there should have been no police involvement btw, not that that's a defence or criticism, as if there was a speech problem, they would be part of it.

And why does it matter if he was a Tory councilor? I'll take your word for it, but what has that to do with the story?
Wait he's being reported as a Lib Dem?! Did you misread or lie on purpose? he's listed on the Lib Dem website here:

He's apparently a staunch environmentalist, and sits on the planning committee?

Wait, isn't that primary school MP Oliver the dirt bag Dowden? Who famously lied about treasury stats and backed up islamaphobic comments from Lee Anderson?

Nothing to see here says Tory supporters...
