A Political Thread pt. 2

Glad Liz Truss seems to have stayed over there. Hopefully Farage will go over and stay, I'm sure he will miss Clacton but I'm sure that's a sacrifice he's willing to make
He never made good his promise of leaving when Brexit turned out to be the disaster it was always going to be.

im the last person to defend trump....but i watched that and i didn;t see him blame the reported, he takes a few unnecessary shots at him, childish jibes, but he never suggests the reported did anything to get into the chat

we do ourselves no favours getting distracted from the massive national security breach by the childish jibberish...thats what they want, they just point to it and say "seel! any excuse to hate on us"

There is a Trumpton in Nottinghamshire and it's a nice little place with good fishing on the Trent so I'm loathed to associate Trump with that.
It's alright, you're loathed anyway

You're really not, and I feel terrible for typing that, but the door was just left too far open to resist

Looking forward to my building society writing to tell me my new mortgage deal will have a massively reduced interest rate.......
Im still praying for it over the next year or two rates are killing my affordability. My original Mortage was 2.09% pre pandemic/pre brexit although the "plan" was to ride out Brexit. That didn't happen and on 4.89% but looking currently about a year later I still can't get cheaper.

(That 2.8% change equated for 37.5% increase on monthly paymennts)

Are there any fixed-rate mortgages available in the UK? I.e., if you are wealthy enough or have a great credit history, is it possible to get an extended fixed-rate mortgage?

By far, the most common mortgage in the US is the 30-year fixed rate followed by the 15-year fixed rate.

Adjustable rate mortgages were very popular until the 2008/2009 downturn.
