I've subsequently read that the Dem's are rubbing it in that all federal flags will be at half mast at his inauguration.

Couldn't happen to a nicer despot.

To be honest, the Dems would do better to have a look in the mirror to realise why so many people would vote for anyone but them instead of poking fun at Trump by using the death of Jimmy Carter as a vehicle for it.

They could start by working on the thought that 99.9% of people have much higher priorities than the issues that affect 0.01% of citizens, but its that 0.01% that Dems get all focussed on and will run an entire network of offended busses on behalf of them. Whether its morally right or not is immaterial; if you want the votes, the 99.9% is where your attention should lie. Then look after the 0.01% when you do get voted into office.

I don't think the right winger's don't understand the scale of Starmer's victory last year or how the UK electoral system works. Simply we are not having another election for 4 years. He has all the time in the world to implement his policies and see the impact they have.

Local council elections will mean sod all in the grand scheme of governing.

Robinson was sent to prison because he pled guilty to contempt of court.
