Republican fundamentalists will protect children even if costs the life of their mother, leaves them disabled or with a medical condition that means their quality of life will be awful, leaves them in poverty with no real prospects, leaves them contemplating suicide and committing suicide, leaves them with regular access to firearms.

Yup I think its good because rarely are transphobes really put up to that level scrutiny against their base arguments. It's simple take downs just pointing to peer reviewed sciences and pointing out we follow it everywhere else.

Bahble. Can't stand the drawling deep south accent.

Also hate the "well not ALL of them say that" defence, as if anything short on unanimity for one position means you can just default to the other.

Also she is basically saying she didn't expect to have a comedian demand she actually support her position with evidence. Had she not been keeping up? Comedians for the most part are not clowns, quite a lot are intelligent and reasonably well informed, more than some members of Congress.

Suella Braverman has again risked upsetting No 10 after saying she has "reservations" about Britain's trade deal with India because it could increase immigration to the UK.

Braverman told the Spectator: "I have concerns about having an open borders migration policy with India because I don't think that's what people voted for with Brexit."

I mean I thought Patel was bad, but Braverman is taking it to the next level.

I genuinely used to work with a Portuguese immigrant who, at the time, had been in the country for not even 10 years and was avidly anti-immigration. Pointing out the clearly hypocrisy didn't work because he just reasoned he was a good, hard working immigrant whilst the rest were just slacker scum coming to live off benefits.
