A Political Thread pt. 2

The Paul Ehrlict Institute reported that Germany could also benefit from individual approval, as could a number of EU member states (apparently) so with all the frustrations, how come none of them enacted this?

Granted regulation 174 was UK specific, but the EMA left London in 2019, and although still technically representative along side the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, it was transitioned in everything but name until a week after the EU approved vaccines.

At very best, the UK and EU would have butted heads, and argued over the decision that went against EU policy during the time, which there had been plenty of examples of in recent history.
This is great obfuscation! All your links were to why some EU states were slow to roll out I haven't refuted this. Your last three paragraphs are to the matter at hand.

Did the UK have a faster rollout due to removal of EU red tape?

Paragraph 1 agrees with assertions (no link provided)

Paragraph 2 and 3 is your own conjecture. Considering my link was litreally just the first fact checking site Google found in a 5 second search. I'd have thought you have found some link refuting it explicitly from a reputable source in 30mins.

You didn't.

You have been playing Brexiteer Bingo you the weakest link goodbye.

So your going to lie about the first sources were regarding 'some' EU states, and not address that the EC and EMA had delayed the approval?

Again, it's my own fault for not relying on my first instinct...

Your 'Rrrreeeeeeeeee' as a response is noted, you aren't a real person.

Again I didn't say the some EU nations was slow to approve the vaccines. I'm not disagreeing with you on this front.

The question is if the UK was a member states could it of approved vaccines by itself? Plenty of places say it could have, you've not provided a single source that said it couldn't. You still haven't and you've had hours to find it!

If Trump is dumb or a moron or whatever pejorative you want to associate him with, then what are the Democrats? The geniuses who repeatedly lost against him for a decade, but are still super smart and cunning and know better than you?

Again, boring. Trump is incredibly intelligent. Bill Clinton said the #1 thing you want in politics is to be underestimated. The entire political apparatus -- and many people including myself — thought he was the village idiot. Boy was I wrong and have been proven wrong over and over and over against the last decade.

I stopped making that mistake in 2023.
It might if escaped your notice but trump was thrashed by the democrats 4.5 years ago. Or are you an election denier?

How many presidents do you know have managed to change a DJIA opening up 1200+ points into 770 closing loss? Make no mistake this was trump doing stupid moronic things again. Putter Ng 50% motr tariffs on china because they had the temerity to respond and match him.

Note china only put their tariffs up 34% in response to trump's 54% and then trump adds another 50%. Personally I hope china responds and matches, or even better raises their tariffs beyond 50% more.

When your country dies stupid financial things the rest of the world ends up paying for it, so yes when you have a president who's creates economic war that affects all I am happy to call him a moron.

Btw don't forget he even put tariffs on countries like Australia and the UK that the US has a trade surplus with. Why? If anything he should be paying us in his "reciprocal war"

Even better would be if the rest of the world moved away from using the USD as the reserve currency in trade.

Kill the dollar as a world standard, leave it solely with the Americans.

Use something substantial in size such as the euro.

But, I forgot trump threatened any country who moved away from the dollar with, you've guessed it, tariffs

My wife is quite a prominent real estate and engineering voice/leader in Chicago.

I say that because she has worked indirectly with Trump. She told me back in 2015 he was an absolute business animal and understood how to maximize every part of real estate development.

But I still underestimated him! Once again, my wife knew better than me.
He's a businessman and he may be good at that but, and it's a bit but, he's not an economist, never has been, and won't listen to economists.

Jackson told the Supreme Court to eff off and try to raise an army against him because he wouldn't follow their ruling.

I would consider that a pretty big constitutional crisis!

FDR threw thousands of American citizens into concentration camps and threatened the Supreme Court he would either impeach them or expand the court with his New York judge buddies if they didn't give him favorable rulings. That's not great!!

Again, my understanding of America goes back to 1620. Not 2016.
I bet you avoided CRT and Indian genocide.

Honestly, in yesteryear it was risk management, money was safer in the bank than it was risked on the market, but currently, with the interest rates and devaluation of currency it just doesn't make any sense to have it sitting around losing value any more...

Use it or lose it - warren buffett probably
Apparently buffet is the only major billionaire to make money so far this year

You seem to disagree with you

"All your links were to why some EU states were slow to roll out"

How do you find a source that talks about an alternative universe in which the UK stays in the EU and implements it's own approvals and rollout. All the evidence proves it wouldn't have happened, because EU states had that ability and didn't exercise it, the EU rolled out the one for all policy, and delayed the roll out, and the EU and UK have previous on going head to head regarding issues in which the UK wanted to do something different.

The fact is, the EMA hadn't bothered with the UK, and wasn't interested in what the UK was doing, the UK wasn't really under the authority of the EMA in Dec 20, because everything was in place and it had literally left the building. Had the Ema been based in London, we had been under the EU trade bloc (hahha) at the very least the EU would have pressured us to be part of the one for all policy, delaying the vaccine rollout, and ensuring the chaotic lack of vaccine scenario would have meant UK offering to support it.

You know what, ignore it all, it's not worth it, you'll just Rereeeeeeeee in return. Have a good night

That's a great set of your opinions. Fact checking sites disagree with you. Why can't you find anyone who agrees with you? No expert opinions!

Someone must have the evidence all these fact checking sites are wrong?
Here the other links from a 5 second Google search. You must of found them yesterday.

Here's the BBC

Huh wait what does link say

What are EU rules on approving vaccines?
Under European law a vaccine must be authorised by the EMA, but individual countries can use an emergency procedure that allows them to distribute a vaccine for temporary use in their domestic market.

Britain is still subject to those EU rules during the post-Brexit transition period which runs until the end of the year.

The UK's own medicines regulator, the MHRA, confirmed this in a statement last month.

And its chief executive, Dr June Raine, said on Wednesday that "we have been able to authorise the supply of this vaccine using provisions under European law, which exist until 1 January".

What is hilarious is you knew by asking for 1 thing I was setting a trap you then walked straight into it and couldn't even be bothered to fact check it before posting it. I didn't even ask for a benefit we had I asked why the politicians screwed up and to name one thing we could of had. And by doing so proved what a misinformed dolt you are.

The DOGE chief was, predictably, terrible at the game, but that was the least of his problems—Less than five minutes into the stream, a player logged on and asked Musk if he could "please jerk off mr trump so he dies of a heart attack." It only got worse from there.

For the next hour and a half, Musk sat in stony-faced silence and blasted techno music while dozens of users with names such as ELON_IS_A_PEEDOPHILE and ELON_MUSK_IS_PATHETIC repeatedly spammed the chat to tell him "YOU HAVE NO FRIENDS AND YOU WILL DIE ALONE" and "YOU WILL ALWAYS FEEL INSECURE AND IT WILL NEVER GO AWAY."
