2nd test - Australia v British & Irish Lions

1.) We have more gold medals than any other country.

2.) LRZ makes more as a practice player than he does playing rugby.

3.) In America, we are capitalist. We care about money.
You have gold medals in football and rugby, please enlighten me, I'm unaware of these?

one convert making bank who's team were clearly in decline wanting a huge payday isn't really a counter point.

you have a mixed economy not 100% capitalism, the second you have a government with any financial intervention/influence it ceases to be purely capitalist, you have people who can’t afford medical treatments and not always because they haven’t contributed to the economy, stop pretending everything is perfect in the US it’s also laughable that you keep comparing the US which is comparable to Europe rather than the Uk alone in this vein.

I don't think a three match series has a dead rubber...a white wash is still a lot to play for.
It is, but really a whitewash against one of the weakest Aussie teams in years isn't anything to write home about. A 3-0 sweep in NZ or SA is a different matter entirely. The Lions didn’t play well enough to win that game, Australia threw that away IMO. I’d like to see some of the other squad players get a game next week.

It's a rugby problem. If you love rugby you should care. Just like we care about what's happening in welsh rugby and the financial struggles of English rugby.
So what should have happened then? The Lions lose on purpose? If union is falling behind on Auz and NZ then it's up to those unions to sort. There was a crowd of 90k watching a great test match today but apparently it's the end of Union in Auz. Seriously give your head a wobble

So what should the Lions have done? Lost on purpose?
Not the lions fault. Just my frustrations with consistency with applying the law, and that going against a team that is barely afloat and needs all the help it could get.
I just wanted this to go to a decider then don’t mind if the lions won.
The lions fans have been fantastic and are always welcome here

You’d think it was an utter whitewash and not a smash and grab, considering what was expected from most scoreline wise before hand and the contentious nature of the final lions score it seems hard than to see it as anything but a positive performance from an Auz POV.

What consistency? Pretty sure the penalty count was in Australia's favour

10 years ago Aus played NZ in the RWC final, I saw plenty of Aussies turning up on that day. Don’t give me that they aren’t patriotic and aren’t sore losers if they lose even at Tiddlywinks. This whole Don’t care attitude they lost is just a smokescreen.

They may have won the series but I'm not having anyone who says this is a good Lions team. I've turned off the inevitable Sky fawn-fest as well. 23-5 down against even a half-decent Wallabies side would have been game over. I don't care that they've won, this has been the worst Lions tour since 2005. It's nothing to celebrate, in fact, it's a damning indictment of the coaching and selections that the Aussies even got that close.

As someone who has watched big games with Skelton involved where a team went down early amd won it with a power punch on the bench, the coach played this one perfectly.

Wonder of Oz announcing the team early triggered the Genge, Porter switch. Mostly Genge but also Ryan off the bench we're huge there, the winning of the match.

Agreed, have you seen what they do to us if they lose a Cricket series?
