France once again relying on individual brilliance, rather than systems.
Which is enough for them to secure 2nd in the W6N and give England the occasional scare, but unlikely to scare all of England, Canada and NZ in a WRWC.
They could be so much better.

@pagliaccio_euforico When a maul collapses like that, with the ball available, but wrapped in arms - are you supposed to let it go?
I know you don't have to roll away, but holding on feels differently (and as a SH, I always feel the ball should be released)

Yeah as long as they were there before it went down and the ball didnt hit the ground.

Don't know how anyone from wales was in a legal position to stop it coming out though. It was a good maul from France.

TY.

Refs need to learn that France go around the edges of mauls, either pick-and-go, or pass-and-go.
3rd week in a row ref has been getting in the way repeatedly.

There was a try there, on the line as the ball came out.
Ref unsighted, no blame.

ETA, and then an awarded try.

ETA2: disallowed. Rightly, but TMO should check what I think I saw a couple of phases earlier

Wales have realised that the only way they can feel confident at the lineout is by refusing to throw straight.
France know this too, so keep competing.

Credit to Wales for playing the ref, I guess...
