[2025 Six Nations] Wales vs Ireland - 22/02/25

I would say anything less than a 16 point loss would be a good day out, 16 to 22 points I'd expect, and would understand anything more than 22 points is poor at home with a new coach.
**** off. If we had Gatland and Howley running the show they easily put 50 points on us and I doubt weather we even get a try. If we keep a loss within 16 points I'll be cracking open the champers and start work on the Sherratt statue.

No statues, I believe Tasker Watkin is safe where he is. Rumour is you'll go through Gatland's Gate and they'll rename the car park entrance the 'Sherratt Shutter'.

Just seen Ireland are wearing white. How disgusting. They should hang their heads in shame. Hope the boys picture a horrible red rose on their chest and it backfires.

How it feels going into a Six Nations round knowing Gatland is nowhere to be seen

Happy We Did It GIF by Northern Ireland

Normally I don't like it when players play out of position but I think Morgan at blindside and Refell at openside is fine. Morgan is built like a blindside anyway. Switching flanks is not as major as switching between other positions.

It's only so that colour blind Welshmen aren't mistaken to think they're winning

It didn't work under Gats, but his/Howley's gameplan rarely suited dual opensides. 2013 was the only exception, due to having an excellent front 5 that were better than most of the other 6N sides.

The way Sherrat likes to play suits a dual openside approach, but it may still leave us exposed due to our lack of grunt in the front 5, especially with Rowlands out of sorts. I'm still not sold on Reffell at international level under the current law interpretations which gives very few opportunities for a poacher. He's not a link 7 in the mould of Tips, Young etc. so does he suit the expansive style Sherrat wants to play?

Given Wainwright's form off the bench, and general form over the last 12-18months, I probably would have started with him at 6 and Morgan at 7, but we'll see how things go.

If we're in this at half time the boys could start to believe a bounce is possible.

Then I see the current table with Wales on a -50 points difference, and remember that we're **** and shouldn't get carried away lol

Bowe giving Sherratt the advice of telling the team "you don't have the talent but be world class at everything else" is not the golden nugget he thinks it is. An awful take haha. There's strengths and talent in the team, need to find how to use them.

Looking forward to this now. Sitting in a beer garden with a balmy 14 degrees

Presume it's a misquoting of 'be the best at everything that takes no talent' haha.
