Alright mate, I was wrong but you don't need to get tetchy about a bit of lazy research.

I don't think this one will be too close. Scotland will want a strong start and to right a few of last year's wrongs. Italy are a bit "who's gonna show up?" So can't be certain but I don't think this will be their game of the tournament.

Wales is obviously the big one for them but am I a pessimist for thinking that they could really run England close at Twickenham?. We'd still be big favourites to beat them but the quality of the two teams is probably as close as it's ever been. There's 3 or 4 players in that Italian team that would get in our team, and that's never been the case before.

Strong benches for both teams. I think this is going to be a high scoring game - both teams have got great back divisions and the weather forecast looks good.
 
Curious to see how Jonny Gray goes after a two year absence. His career started so promisingly with his phenomenal work rate and tackle stats. He always seemed to lack a bit of grunt when carrying and didn't live up to his potential at Exeter. Been playing well for Bordeaux apparently so here's hoping he brings it on Saturday

Still gutted about Sione's injury and hope Stafford can play as well as he did against Ireland last year.

Good solid team named there. McDowall's got some big shoes to fill, but with him being a warrior he should fit in with Jones nicely.

Good strong bench with some newish blood coming through.

Scotland were too complacent last year and it bit them in the @rse.

Hopefully they're not taking anything for granted.
 
You know what, I genuinely think for the first time in forever, this isn't a false dawn for Scotland.

Beating Italy and Wales should be minimum, Ireland at home and England away thay could take real points from, if they manage to win 1 they will be in the race come the last weekend, and Scotland could be sat on 13/14 points. I fancy England to rock thisn6N, maybe challenge, but certainly take points from Ireland or France.

If that happens it's all to play for, I can see this 6N being tighter than revent years, maybe 16 points wins it, this is Scotlands chance...
