[2023 Six Nations] Ireland v England - 18 March 2023

Oh wow, that was terrible defence for that try. Way too easy. Good spot from Ireland though.

Excuse my ignorance, but how does Itoje put Farrell onside from a penalty? It's not a kick so surely he has to be 10 or he's offside.
To answer this, it's in law 20.14: "If it is taken so quickly that opponents have no opportunity to retreat, they will not be sanctioned for this. However, they may not take part in the game until they have retreated 10 metres from the mark or until a team-mate who was 10 metres from the mark has moved in front of them."

We still haven't seen a replay of it if it was that.

Doesn't mean it didn't happen, was fairly blatant. You could hear a load of the players saying it at once as well. Like penalty only but stupid from him.

I noticed that in real time to be fair, not enough for a pen on a second watch but can understand it.

Surely you give Sexton the first breakdown steal he's had in 30 years.

I didn't think you could lift a player up off the ground and call a maul after?

Either way right outcome as pass before looked forward.
