2023-2024 transfers

Surprised Radwan didn't change his mind after the weekend. šŸ˜€

Fair play to him. He's been loyal to Falcons, probably at the expense of personal ambition.

Good move.

Nayacalevu --> Nice next season

They're dead last in Pro D2 so probably third div next season, surprised at that - despite being dreadful enough I thought he showed enough in the AIs that he could get a ProD2 (or Japan) contract

That said: based on social media posts, I have a feeling his family still live in France, so wonder if his kids are in school in Toulon or something so he wants to be closer

Ben Loader to Gloucester and a return to the prem..

Hmm... In general he has been pretty average for The Stormers. Out a lot with injury and when he did play last season I remember being surprised at how slow he appeared in some situations. Has been a bit better this season, at least in the last two games, but won't be particularly missed given the limited impact he has had and us finally getting Senatla back from his car accident injuries

The vultures have been circling for a while now. It was a matter of time and which club he ended up at.

Tigers have money, we have none.

We do have more talent coming through, but once again the exhausting time consuming period of developing that talent...just for it to leave.
At least in this case you got a lot out of Radwan before he left. Same with Blamire.

More annoying to lose the likes of Pepper, Johnson and Brantingham.

WHW is the one I'd be irritated by. Could easily have been a regular starter with Falcons but his move South has been a disaster from the start.

Honestly I get this fully when we signed WHW he was in good form and looked like someone we could develop going forward, he just bearly got the chance to string any form together and this season putting Slade at 10 must have been a kick in the teeth.

I hope now he takes his chance and doesn't get stuck behind Skinner again but more used alongside.

Absolutely...you invest in the academy and then they just move on. WHW caused a lot of ill feeling with the fans. He was just ready to take over the 10 shirt and boom off to Wasps for more money. He would have done his career better to stay with us and have guaranteed starting time in the prem at 10. There was talk of him coming back and most fans made their feelings clear..no thanks.

Bath have announced "long-term" contract extensions for Lee Blackett (IMO, the best signing from the defunct clubs) and Richard Blaze

Leicester Tigers announce a partnership with the Dynaboars in the Japan top league
First business is Lewis Chessum going on loan as well as Chessum announcing a new Tigers deal

Really happy with this business as I been wanting topics a top league team to support

Obano and Roux have extended at Bath

Local rag suggesting we've signed (as opposed to rumoured) both Arundell and Carreras. If so, then something has to give. My guess would be McConnochie and Cokanasiga (and Grace & JdP), but it could be a rebalance, maybe losing Lawrence or someone.

Gloucester losing Carreras would be huge, and would be a massive signing for Bath
On reflection, I'm a little uneasy about it - great signing, and he and Arundell would absolutely be an upgrade on McConnochie and Cokanasiga (assuming it's A] true, and B] that's who's making way), but...
It's one thing to sign a star from a rival who was a star on arrival (or someone who's full of unrealised potential), but Gloucester have put a lot of work and coaching into Carreras to build him up from relative obscurity to the player he is today, and built their game around him - and that doesn't sit so well.
Same as when Sarries were doing this with the likes of Borthwick, Daly etc.
