Always felt he was one of those guys whose primary focus shifted out of rugby and onto his family.
I think that was probably just as important as the injury, could be wrong though... I don't know the guy.

When he originally left Sale for Saints wasn't it because he was being played at FB but wanted to concentrate on SH?

For a couple of years his understanding with Ashton was fantastic.
 
Haha, yep! Saints promised to use him at 9, then didn't. He obviously grew out of the idea quickly
 
He needs the Dickensian detective facial hair if he's going back to Sale.

Good point, I think he lost the spark in the last few years that use to make him stand out. Was quicker than Brown, as deceptive and could pass.
 
Nick Malouf —> Aussie 7's on big doh for the next Olympics then I'm guessing he'll come back.

I think he could. See him as a strong 13 with the right work. He slimmed down for winger this year. I think if he got back to his 2016 size he'd learn 13 and take to it more than he has winger. Just my opinion though.

Even with the Olympics there's more money in being a squad player in the premiership so I don't think his 15's career is over.

He will prob come back to XV's but not Tigers or the prem IMO.

He had offers from french clubs for more money than us and he will prob have the Wallabies looking at him after the Olympics.
So I reckon either Top 14 or Super rugby.

Pretty sure he will be earning alot more on the Sevens team than with us on his current contract.
