As ever, I've done this in my predicted pecking order, though some are pretty close, and new coach may well disagree with me.
Charlie Ewels is long term injured or course, and we expect an injury joker to come in.
Bath 22-23.jpg
Asterisks are players I expect to lose for internationals (with a bit of luck, this is the last year I include one for Ewels - his injury gives the likes of Isiekwe and Chessum a good chance to push him out of squads)

45 players, 33 English born or capped (with 1 of them since choosing Scotland)
2 full Scots (so 3 with Bayliss)
1 EQP Irishman
1 EQP Saffer
7 other Saffers (only 1 of them capped, so 1-2 other might be EQP through grandparentage)
1 Namibian
73% English (seniors)
76% EQP (seniors)

18 (I think) from Bath's academy (2 of them brought into the academy rather than fully home grown)

Academy has a 7th backrower, but not much point including 3rd choice academy players.
On which, I'm still surprised Ewan Richards is still classified as an academy player. With 18 appearances last year, I'd have had his as a senior.

Feeling lazy, so:

+ Morgan Eames

Think that's it?

How we're sat atm:

1. Rodd, McIntyre, Harrison, Onsanya, Carlile
2. van Der Merwe, Ashman, Taylor, Caine
3. Schonert, Oosthuizen, Harper, Ford
4. du Preez, Barrow, Beaumont, Bamber, Birch
5. Hill, Wiese, Postlethwaite, Groves, Murphy
6. Ross, Curry, Tebbatt
7. Curry, Dugdale,
8. du Preez
9. Quirke, Cliff, Simpson, Warr, Thomas
10. Ford, du Preez, Wilkinson, Curtis
11. O'Flaherty, Reed
12. Tuilagi, Hill, Bedlow
13. James, Doherty
14. Roebuck, McGuigan,
15. James, Carpenter, Gourlay

Look lopsided in a number of positions but that's partly due to a lot of players covering multiple (i.e. JLdP is first choice lock but also 2nd choice 8, Rob du Preez 2nd choice 10 but arguably our best option at 13, Wiese plays as much 6 as lock, Birch played 8 in the A league, Tom Curtis played 15 and 12 when on loan etc.)
Still think we're light in the back 3, though - no experienced/out and out 15 (L.James has a fair bit of experience there now but still a relatively recent convert, and no one to learn from now, and no one to mentor the academy players)

It's senior + senior academy combined,
49 players + 1 short term injury cover

84% EQP,
9 South Africans but 3 EQP (Schonert, Ross and Groves)
2 Scots (Ashman, McGuigan - Ashman from our academy)

17 academy graduates in the Senior Squad

That feels like a cheat :)
If we're including academy to get our EQP up, Bath can add 19 Englishmen, 3 Welshman and an Irishman (we think they're all EQP or will be by the time they graduate, but can't confirm)
Bringing Bath's EQP from 34/45 to 56/67, also 84%

I was feeling lazy and didn't want to go through and count as our squad is always named as combined 😅

Think our seniors is
26/34 EQP - 76%
Includes one Samoan-born England player and two South African-born EQP players

Bit weird that we both have 76% seniors, 84% seniors + academy,
Glitch in the matrix!

Need to check a few academy players but main squad is below. I'm thinking I might have missed a couple and unsure on litchfield and Ethan Grayson as to if they are the academy or not.

1. Waller, Hobbs-Awoyemi, Iogen, Waller
2.Haywood, Fish, Matavesi, Smith
3. Hill, Painter, Heffernan, Hughes, Petch
4/5. Ribbans, Moon, Nansen, Coles, Salakaia-Loto
6. Wilkins, Lawes, Scott-Young
7. Ludlum, Hinkley
8. Augustus, Graham

9. Mitchell, James, Braley
10. Bigger, Grayson
12. Hutchinson, Matavesi, E Grayson
13. Proctor, Dingwall, litchfield
11/14. Collins, Sleightholme, Skosan, Ramm
15. Furbank, Freeman

Confirmed Quins senior squad is:

1. Marler / Garcia-Botta / Els
2. Walker / Musk / Riley
3. Collier / Louw / Kerrod
4. Lamb / Hammond
5. Lewies / Herbst
6. Lawday / J. Chisholm / Jurevicius
7. Evans / Kenningham / Wallace
8. Dombrandt / White / Taulani
9. Care / Steele / Gjaltema / Stafford
10. Smith / Allan / Edwards
11. Murley / Morris
12. Esterhuizen
13. Marchant / Northmore
14. Lynagh
15. Green / David / R. Chisholm

That's 27 EQ out of 38 (71%). I think Els may also qualify on residency now which would push it up a bit more.

I deliberately didn't include players in the senior academy, but I think we'll definitely see Anyanwu, Baxter, Beard, Cleaves and possibly Head (all English) playing Premiership rugby this season.

We're very light at hooker and lock, but no signs of business to be done.

That's very short of top quality locks!

Currently Tigers are
1. Cronin, Whitcombe, Van Wyk, Richardson (Williams)
2. Montoya, Dolly, Clare, Cowan-Dickie, (Vanes, Seb Smith)
3. Cole, Heyes, Leatiaga, Hurd (Hoyt, Crane)
4. Wells, Green, Henderson (Carnduff, Carmichael)
5. O.Chessum, Snyman (T.Manz, L.Chessum)
6. Liebenberg, Martin, (Koroiyadi, J.Manz)
7. Reffell, Cracknell (Ilione)
8. Wiese, Jansen (Owen)
9. Youngs, JVP, Wigglesworth, (Edwards)
10. Pollard, Burns, (Meredith, Walsh, Daniels)
11. Potter, Nadolo, Saumaki, (Browning)
12. Kelly, Gopperth, Cokanasiga (Woodward)
13. Porter, Scott, (Cusick, Loose)
14. Watson, Ashton, Murimurivalu
15. Steward, Hegarty, Simmons

42 senior players + 21 Development (All EQP)
27 EQP (64% EQP)

Ilione is prob the next academy lad that will be stepping up, potentially Vanes depending on the hooker situation.

Herbst is an unknown quality but Lewies is more than decent when he's fit, Lamb is very underrated and I'm confident Hammond will be a future international.

The depth is a concern, but I'm not actually too unhappy with the quality of what we have. Top quality is all fine and dandy but not if they're playing 11 or less games a season.

Falcons...

New coaching set up, new style of rugby promised, some new players who match the style Walder wants to play and some more very promising kids coming through...

Its going to be very difficult to predict a first choice 23 this season...until we're a few games in...

Thanks to Tigers pushing his surgery though whilst he was still a tigers players like a week after the injury.

Some clubs wouldn't have done that

Sale finally confirm our squad for this season:

Conor Doherty joins George Ford in the snapped-achilles-club - very frustrating as he was, apparently, one of the few bright sparks in our pre-season games so far, and had a good chance at getting some proper game time while Ford was out (and RdP wasn't taking up one of the centre spots)

Raffi and Beaumont not on the injured list, and Beaumont pictured in live scrum training this week (packing down at 8) - makes me feel a little less pessimistic about the start of the season
