[2021 Six Nations] Wales vs Ireland (07/02/21)

Hmmm - not really convinced by the Wales lineup.
So its not all "build for the future" it seems "win at all costs". With that in mind, WHY isnt Jamie Roberts (whos in good form) in the starting lineup. Hallam Amos shouldn't be near the test side (IMO), Wingers should be North and LRZ with Roberts in the centre.
And I thought Jarrod Evans should be there as well. He is also in good form and always makes breaks and finds space for centres!

Gonna go for a Wales loss here. Won't even be close. The downward spiral of this nation continues.

P.S. I think this pandemic is really getting me down - pessimistic about life right now!

Didn't realise it initially but thinking about it now that's the exact same team that started the world cup quarter final in 2019. 5 changes, two caused by retirement (Keenan and Herring) and three from injury (Porter, Beirne and Lowe), and two just involve the guy who was on the bench that day starting instead.

Despressing stuff. What's frustrating is that I actually think we'll be really good once we get Baird, Casey, Byrne, Coombes and co going along with Keenan and Doris etc but it's just not happening right now and we're just watching the same team that's been in decline for years with no attack.

Guilty of it from day one though, even Kidney ringed the changes in 09 to bring success.
True not disagreeing but Schmidt, Kidney, Eddie. None really planned with over a year in advance. And we keep making same mistakes and getting caught every RWC because of it.

Like Ryan Baird is flying it. Ok 2nd row is probably 2 guys in form and bench is a class act. But will he see time. Craig Casey is deserving of a shot, @10 is Harry Byrne s good as hype suggests? If so why not get him in. Look Ross and Burns are gap fillers so no need to have both. Like on team for Sunday Ross is wasting a spot.

Hugely depressing point.

Well Lydiate is there on merit his ball carrying has improved a lot, and he's fitter now than I've seen him in a while. His tackling was always his strength, and he tops tackling stats for Pro 14. For those dissing his age, he's still younger than Owens, AWJ and Cian Healy. The Welsh side is quite old though and the pack especially, this is a very defensive side Pivac has put out and I struggle to see the threat for Ireland

This game doesn't look very exciting with the teams, but it's normally a very good match. Ireland by 6?

I think we will comfortably beat Wales by between 6 and 12 thousand points tomorrow.

I hope Wales do what they did last time we played. Start a little scrap and continue to take Ls the rest of the game
