[2019 Six Nations] Wales v Ireland (16/03/2019)

Don't think that was a penalty based on his this year has been refereed but our own fault for trying to do a lineout before the hooker gets the ball.

This is one of worst Ireland teams over the last few years. What has happened?

The ref hasn't helped, but they've been awful. Zero composure

That's why referees have to be very judicious with going off your feet penalties - it's really easy for the defending team at rucks to move out the way last second and then the players clearing out will be going off their feet, as Beirne just did .I think that pen against Navidi was just about ok

I know why O'Mahony is in the team but other than a few dodgy turnovers (that decent refs rarely let him away with), he contributes absolutely nothing in open play.

Got the wrong ******* loose head there. It's not collapsing if the scrum doesn't actually collapse.

At least it can't get much worse.

I think the starting Leinster backrow of Leavy, Van der Flier and Conan would destroy the one we've picked today

Neither side has thrown one down the line yet, but Owens and Best are the two worst throwers in the competition so they're probably just letting it slide for fear of 80mins solid of scrums

Fair enough I just thought there would be a little more scrutiny given how much of a talking point Wales lineout was before the game, this is so unlike Ireland, they seem utterly rattled at the moment anything but there're usual selfs, hopefully they come out firing in the second half.

the welsh have ruined the irish scrum and even stolen a few lineouts.....got to say the welsh have been supremely efficient that half
