^^ Agreed Hawkes bay should of had a super rugby franchise years ago. I think they arent in such a good position now as they were 3 or 4 years ago had it been done then I suspect that franchise would of been going really well.

Anybody can see the NZ conference should have 6 teams not 5.

I don't see any real benefit to NZ having a sixth team.

It would weaken the other teams, it's not like there's a huge market we're leaving untapped (like Western Australia or Southern SA), so it's not like there are players missing out on selection (other then the next best 36 players etc.).

What rationale is there for introducing another team?

Taranaki is and would be first in line for a Super team.

Won an ITM Cup recently, and have always been in the top4/6 teams since forever.

Fair enough. I still feel things could be organized better.

Sunwolves have to fly 84,000 uh... I don't know which site I saw this on... I think it was an NZ one. So it is having to fly 84,000 kms this season. But they don't play NZ teams this year... So it will be more next year...

Yeah even Taranaki, there's most definitely room for a 6th sustainable team, if we're putting up with teams like the Kings... NZ has the quality to actually pull off a 6th team unlike SA, Aus, Japan and Argentina.

Yeah even Taranaki, there's most definitely room for a 6th sustainable team, if we're putting up with teams like the Kings... NZ has the quality to actually pull off a 6th team unlike SA, Aus, Japan and Argentina.

I would suggest we do have the talent to fill out both Cheetahs and Kings with some left to blster the 4 others. It's just they are in Europe.
