[2016 Super Rugby] Jaguares vs. Lions (Round 17) 16/07/2016

The Lions are going to face the Crusaders ATM and they lost all their games vs NZ teams, right? Including the Saders.

Jaguares upped their game and Lions have gone to pieces after the yellow card.

Think Lions bet one NZ team and ran a couple of others very close. He should have rested half his team this week and half next week against the Sharks.

No try I reckon. Mark in wrong place.

Very entertaining, Jaguares could have had another 20 points if they'd executed well. 4 wins probably the minimum acceptable for them this season so coach probably has had his job saved - sounds better if you say they finished 12th out of 18 despite tough schedule.

Makes the first round of the playoffs much more interesting. Hurricanes must be clear favourites now given they'll have the easiest quarter final.

....and there will be a hearty thank you from all Hurricanes Supporters to Johan Ackerman and Los Jaguares

Excellent result!

Some lessons seems to be learned (take your points, release presure with the boot when is necesary). Others problems are still there (fragile defence, too many penalties, weak bench due to necesary player rotation).

Over all, we finish around the level of Reds and Cheetahs. And over Kings, Sunwolves and Force. One or two steps below my expectation, but not a catastrophy as some seems to think.

IMHO a head coach change isn't needed. However, a foreign asistant/advisor could be a very good idea.

Well done, lads! A good victory

You are welcome. I'm going to send you my address so you can send me my gift, a Hurricanes jersey ;)

I think they beat the Chiefs in NZ (surprisingly), lost to the Crusaders the following week, beat the Blues heavily in SA, and were hammered in SA by the Hurricanes.

Thank you Jags!!!! - I'm off to the quarters and hopefully the semi and then a home final.

If you have a look at history you will see that when the Sharks are heavy underdogs they win ... we beat the Crusaders few years ago with 13 men in NZ
