It was very odd, I couldn't get my head around that either. Thats key, tucker them out. Hmmmm... a young Gary Whetton was pretty awesome and it's hard to go passed Brad Thorn...or the legend of Keith Murdoch, the man mountain... but they certainly are strong. They are both deceptively quick and they both read the game well. He's damn fine, but, is he playing against the kind of calibre opposition that earlier locks had to pack down against? No offence to the Ockers and Saffers on here but these teams are not a shadow of their earlier greatness. I thought Read's pace on the burst into the line was exceptional, shocked me to see the old fella charging like a wounded elephant. I don't know anything about Matt Todd but if he's alright in Mr Hansen's book then he must be pretty good. He also is stronger around the ruck and gaps around the scrum. He's not doing anything to let anyone else in on his spot. Can't argue with that, I was worried about his defence against the big evil Bokke but he seemed to grow in this game and he is dynamite on the counter attack, he's got gas to burn and it could well be the end of Fekitoa unless he can show some spark that hasn't been evidenced at test level yet. It looks like Moala may also struggle with game time when the young fella is in this kind of form.
