[2015 Super Rugby] Hurricanes vs. Highlanders (Round 17) 05/06/2015

Compared to? His tackle completion rate is good for most wingers. Better than: Lowe's, Savea's, Gear's, Nanai-William's, Tuitavake's, Nadolo's, McNicholl's, Halai's, Batham's, Folau's, Naiyaravoro's, Tongia's, Osbourne's, Turner's, Mogg's, Tomane's, Cummin's etc, etc, defense in terms of tackle percentage...In fact he's comfortably in the upper tackle completion rate for outside backs.

In Marshall's try, he couldn't stop him despite having had several opportunities

..Was clearly evident the Highlanders were prepared to throw the game by resting all their All Blacks..and with Osborne also injured not a surprising result.
Tongia an awesome backup wingman all the same and always include him in my fantasy team when he's selected.

But the Highlanders had already secured a top six berth and not a must win game so a good management of players.
Has the big win lulled the Canes into a false sense of security though??...better watch out coz the Mighty Chiefs are on the warpath...

Which are the playoffs games so far?

Currently in the qualifying finals we'll see Stormers v Brumbies and Chiefs v Highlanders (Hurricanes and Waratahs get the week off).

Next week's matches could change things though.
Waratahs v Reds
Hurricanes v Chiefs
Blues v Highlanders
Brumbies v Crusaders
Sharks v Stormers

At what cost was resting the All Blacks... We could miss out on a home quarter final. Bloody stupid.

We did have to rest them again and we're more likely topics up points in Auckland, it made made sense...although I would have been resting them one at a time throughout the season myself

Jezus thats pretty harsh, Marshall ran an awesome line broke the first line then there were about 3 or 4 highlanders having a go at stoping him and probably being more hinderance to each other than to Marshall getting over the line.:run:

The Highlanders were well beaten in this game but I felt again a referees (TMO!!!) decision changed the outcome of the game to a certain extent (not the result though). Peranaras first try should never of been given.... at that stage the HL were still marginally in it.

That's why you will be a great lawyer Conrad bitofthe old reserve psychology bro
