Not quite why there's all this fuss about the backline reorg. Nowell and no 12 cover would not be more balanced, more backlines don't cover things perfectly anyway. We've ended up with a full-back at full-back, a centre partnership that's actually more practised than the one we started with, and only one real slight out of place with Joseph on the wing.

Have to say Bill's looked so much not a try I went through to the kitchen to get food and missed most of the replay.

I'd have to see May's none pass again, but from what I saw the English attackers were numbered by the Italians and the whole attack was drifting towards the touchline so last man probably would've been pushed into touch.

Though May running lateral quite a lot didn't help.

Ref seemed to think Watson knocked it on, but I don't think the ball touched his hand.
Not sure if it was a deliberate knock on, but could easily have been given one.

This referee has a terrible understanding of the breakdown.

The ref is just not letting them get away with it. He is however letting England get away with murder at the scrum.
