I know you'ere a Bulls fan and excited about 5 log points but you should've put the Lions 1st in the ***le as well as hosts. Can't see the Lions in this match; 1st week back after a poor tour while the Bulls have everything to play for and will be on a high after taking 5 log points off the Brumbies the previous week.

Like I said, I copy pasted my previous thread of the Bulls and Brumbies, and forgot to edit the teams part.

I'm hoping for another 5 pointer, but we all know the Lions have what it takes to cause an upset, especially against other SA teams.

That said, my team has been getting into a groove after their tour and have had some solid performances. Hopefully they can keep on the good run, as this is the last game before a long break, so the guys have a chance to go out swinging before some of them leave for the Boks and the others gets a good rest.

Yeah, I was only pulling your leg. Hope the Bulls go well! At least until they come to Cape Town.

I hope the Lions win. It will really improve the Highlanders playoff chances :p

I want the Bulls to show the Lions no mercy. It'll probably be a tight contest for a while but in the end the Bulls should try and bag 5 points.

Bulls are going to have fun with them this weekend

Bulls – 15 Jurgen Visser, 14 Akona Ndungane, 13 JJ Engelbrecht, 12 Jan Serfontein, 11 Bjorn Basson, 10 Jacques-Louis Potgieter, 9 Francois Hougaard, 8 Jacques Engelbrecht, 7 Jacques du Plessis, 6 Jono Ross, 5 Grant Hattingh, 4 Flip van der Merwe (c), 3 Marcel van der Merwe, 2 Callie Visagie, 1 Dean Greyling.
Subs: 16 Bongi Mbonambi, 17 Werner Kruger, 18 Morné Mellett, 19 Paul Willemse, 20 Wimpie van der Walt, 21 Piet van Zyl, 22 Louis Fouché, 23 William-Small Smith

Marcel van der Merwe ahead of Kruger, Hattingh ahead of Willemse, Vleis starting... Bulls look like they are making noises with these selections that they'll keep ball in hand and back their runners. Showing the Lions little respect might come back to bite them but then again if they don't rush things and it they get those half breaks they might end up putting 50+ on the Lions.

Man that team looks like they want to smash!

Glad to see Stokkies Hanekom back in the starting line-up for the Lions.

Must say Jono Ross is playing much better at 6 and after Frans Ludeke said he instructed him to play in a certain way.
Guess the guy had to get use to the new role. Happy with the changes for the Bulls and also delighted to see Stokkies getting ago for the Lions

What a **** poor game of rugby by the Bulls. Leaderless comes to mind! The Bulls will have to sort out the captaincy issue, neither Flip nor Spies are good captains.

I don't think the blame should be wholly placed on Flip. I think every senior player was rather poor on the day.

JJ het kak in sy hande gehad!!

For sure Flip is not alone a number of guys didn't step up. Visser and JJ were awful to name a few. Marcel van der Merwe is atrocious!

To me the guys held back due to the looming international window and scared of injuries coupled with their minds are in the upcoming Bok games
We should blame the administrators for allowing International tournament within a Super 15 set-up or just reduce the duration of the S15
This spelled disaster all around
How many upsets did we have this weekend - all coincidences, I say not:

Stormers over Sharks
Lions over Bulls
Blues over Hurricanes
Reds over Highlanders

It's a double edged sword. And this time our franchises got off worse than the boks... in the past it used to be the other way round...

I think the training camp was not well timed. If HM wanted to see what the new faces could do, he should've done that a bit earlier in the season, and maybe do it more than once with a group of guys.

Oh well, there's no use in playing the blame game, as it is always a lose-lose situation. We can only use the cards that was dealt, and the Bulls tried to bluff themselves...
