[2014 Mid-Year Test] South Africa vs Wales (1st Test)

SA are playing at about 5 levels above anything any other team has played at this Summer so far. This is bar the first 30 mins of the second half for NZ v England, and England looked as F***ed as we do. SA would be anyone on this performance, just brilliant if i'm honest.

In regards to Wales, i think we realy need to re think our policy on size in the backs. North is pure work class, but we haven't evolved. We need players like Jordan Williams, G Davies and M. Morgan to be playing these games. We aren't going to out muscle SA, they're just about the only team we can't. We have to use our talent which is only just being included. Don't fight fire with fire, use water. G. Davies for Phillips any day of the week. J. Williams for Cuthbert, a better player in all ways and M. Morgan to be ready to come on the 55th minute.

Terrible terrible defence on the wings is killing us. I.E Cuthbert

that's exactly right. It's sad to say, and this very post will attract lots of negatives replies, but in Rugby power beats skill, and add 2 or 3 sprinters to that and you're lifting a trophy.

England is doing well against the All-Blacks and those are less and less scary overtime and have entirely lost their mystique, and bar the first test even the shhittiest French side you've ever seen kept the Wallabies try-less at home.

Right I just don't understand Wales.

What is the point in sending your tunes back against the defence? Of your atom is to stretch them then run outs. You're not going through that close defence so why bother, big runners in the wide channel is the only way to stretch the Bokkes.

Agreed. That's my point. This is particularily obvious on the wing with Cuthbert. If we put J Williams in his place, we are losing nothing in defence and just adding far more danger in our back line. Same goes for Davies for Phillips.

Le Roux could be beat us on his own at this rate.

But do note, that this would probably happen to England, who have even slower wingers. If you can even call Tuilagi a winger, which you can't.
