[2013 EOYT] Scotland

Not sure about Beattie, his form has returned with the Scarlets. But I think he is to similar to Brown and not as good. I would put Denton in as the Scots are starting to move the ball wide more often and Denton likes to sit out wider to get big runs in.

This is good as he will be there to secure the ball and also add a great bashing option.

Number 10 will be interesting. As Jackson is playing pretty well for Glasgow.

well true i think denton has improved alot since the last six nation i would like to see him and also jackson did play well for glascow but i think he should play against australia and maybe south africa but i think weir or heatcote should play against japan

Japan has to be a game were we play some different guys in new positions. Or at least give them full games instead of just 20 minutes run on.

Good to see Bennett and Gray in there, very promising young players. Blair Cowan's mother was apparently born in Dunoon. So here he is.

im looking forward to see the new caps players play especially Jonny Gray who's been playing amazing just now and bennett aswell playing really well

Pretty standard squad. Will be interesting to see if he gives the new guys caps or just wants to get them in the system now.

Also can't wait who he is going to pick for the 23. Scotland having such a lack of depth makes it far more importnat to pick on form over anything else.

Im surprised Blair Cowan was called up, in my opinion one of the most underrated Backrows players around, he's quick strong and good in defence... hopefully he will do well internationally.

You may have to hold your horses on Jonny Beattie, spoke to him yesterday and still not contact fit he reckons another couple of weeks before he is ready and thats makes about 4/5 weeks without any games so could be a non starter for Scotland, well maybe the first gameat least against Japan which will give him plenty of time for the South African game..

well thats not too bad if beattie out for now we have blair cowan who i never seen play but im looking forward to seeing him play and denton is doing pretty well aswell

Such a pity about our fullback and flyhalf situation.

Everything bar Laidlaw, Visser and Scott has gone to pants at Embra in the past 2/3 seasons.

Just so much permeating... dire. Eurgh.

The imports are the worst offenders in terms of poor performances more often than not, at both pro teams as well. Makes it that much harder to stomach, which at this point I can't.

Well, Scotland must beat Japan and against Boks and Aussies, good luck Scottish!

;)

Losing Visser sucks, he defense is not great. But the more international games he has played the better it has been.

Probably put Lamont in the XV now. Been a good Scottish soldier.
