The Georgian national team Coach Milton Haig has announced the extended lineup for upcoming tests vs Canada on Nov 9, US Nov 16 and Samoa Nov 23.

Even from the extended list we can see some notable absences like
Davit Zirakashvili of Clermont auvergne ,
Giorgi Jgenti of Perpignan,
Jaba Bregvadze and Vasil Kakovin of Stade Toulousain,
Anton Peikrishvili of Castres.
Giorgi Nemsadze of Tabres.
All of them are Props except Bregvadze who is a Hooker and Nemsadze 2nd row.
Besides first row there are not that many players missing.. and hopefully more people won't be out with injuries. we can see that Georgian scrum is badly Wounded but as we say in Georgia, the Last prop is just as good as the first prop :p
I tried to put optimal lineup out of selected players in Bold

1. David Khinchagashvili (prop)
2. Mikheil Nariashvili (Hooker)
3. Zurab zhvania (Prop)
4. Simon Maisuradze (Prop)
5. Shalva Mamukashvilli (Hooker)
6. Revaz Belkania (Hooker)
7. Davit Kubriashvili (prop)
8. Levan Chilachava (Prop)

man........would a team entirely made up of props work ?...imagine that ! :p
Georgians sure make for good props, goddamn. They're all over Europe in clubs.

Will be happy to see the upgraded backs you told us about though.
Hey, you live in the U.S. don't you ? I'm gonna bet absolutely everyone around you will be hooked on opening night of the NBA and nobody will have a clue "the Eagles" are playing an int'l.

Pretty strong squad.
I added fixtures, positions, date of birth, clubs and caps ;)

So, pretty strong squad, despite Kakovin (loosehead, Toulouse), Bregvadze (hooker, Toulouse) and Zirakashvili (tighthead, Clermont) injuries. Surprising to see Chilachava (he played only one game for Toulon this season) and not Peikrishvili (he plays well for Castres this season). I know Jgenti (Perpignan) is annoyed with Georgian federation...
Second row, I know Vakhtang Maisuradze (Albi) is injured. What about Nemsadze (Tarbes)?
Can't wait to see Kolelishvili-Gorgodze-Basilaia trio against Samoa!
Backs : Why Sandro Todua is not in the squad? young, talented, first choice on his wing for Albi... Surprising

Im also eagar to see them but honestly Id like them to do more old style Scrum/Maul plays because I'm 100% sure we can demolish their packs that way. I just think its our strength that separates us from the other teams and we should use that. I mean our backs cant possibly outplay Samoan and Canadian backs that's just too far fetched. however forwards can outplay pretty much any pack at home.

Yes of course, only people watching rugby will be those who play rugby, (and their family members forcefully :D) usually when i say I play rugby people look at me with big eyes and think I'm some vicious animal with anger issues. first response usually is oh i know this guy whose cousin also plays college rugby PLEASEDONTKILLME.... after which i proceed to face-palm myself lol
.
Croket66

Thanks :D I didn't have time or patience to do that much.

Todua seems to have fallen out of favor with the coaches I remember there were some rumors a year ago but i don't know what it was about really

ImScotty

yes they say he is improving very fast, I guess we will see what the fuss is all about in november.

It's a tough situation for Georgia because to move up any further they're going to need to develop better backs but at the same time, to win games right now they need to play to their strengths. Other than Sharikadze and Mchedlidze, who are both quite young fortunately, they just don't have the backs to play the style they'll need to to move up. So I'd advocate playing the style that will give them the best chance to win today (forward dominated) while working hard on developing backs and playing a more expansive style at the age grade and A team levels. Then, as those players filter into the national team, they can start to move away from forward dominated play to a more expansive and 15 man approach.

that 3rd game against Samoa will be a great test, with full strength and if they go as Europe 1 to the RWC, they could have big chance to fight for that 3rd spot and direct move to RWC2019.
