[2013/14 Pro12] Round 6

Scrum half pass, receiver run!!! This isn't rugby league pass the ****ing ball!

Happy enough with the win but the manner of it was uninspiring to ****!

Olding created 3 tries for Ulster. He missed a 1 on 1 tackle but what he did in attack far outweighed that mistake. There was also the blockdown as peat said and almost kicked the ball out on the full but got a very lucky bounced. Watch some of the highlights on the Rabo youtube channel. He will win many Irish caps in the future.

Thing is, most of what he did in attack was from standing at 12. Bit difficult to say he had a great game at full-back when most of the best things he did, he did as a 12 does.

Glasgow were pretty disappointing against Munster. There seemed to be a real lack of urgency, though the masters of the dark arts Munster certainly helped to make that very difficult. Also, I never realised before that O'Callahan is such a bloody whine with all his complaining to the referee. Considering that he's not the captain the ref' should have dealt with him early on but then it was a pretty poor all round by the ref.

As I said though, disappointing performance from Glasgow.

Awful, awful, awful. I'm sorry Mr. O'Connor, but you've got to start bringing more to table, and pronto. We're a turgid looking team at the moment, devoid of any creativity.

Martin Moore is a godsend.

Ugly Leinster match to watch, so bland with ball in hand. They have a surprising amount of trouble retaining their own ball, my unofficial count as I watched was 5 penalties on offensive rucks and at least 3 clean turnovers given up.

Anyone see Dragons/Ospreys?

Notes from the game:

- Tipuric was ace around the park, immense cardiovscular fitness and pace, always quick to rucks and in support of breaks and consistent over a whole match
- Nice confidence booster for Adam to take into the internationals with the penalty try
- Matthew Morgan is gaining himself a reputation as a weak team/dry conditions specialist
- Burton/Robling/Wardle midfield combination woeful
- Richie Rees on form should be in the Wales 30
- Find "heal Toby" prayer mats

Hard to disagree there. Tipuric is incredible, I'd seriously consider playing him and Warbs together.
Nipper makes nice breaks but I think he has found his level.
Yeah that was a kak midfield. I like Wardle, but the other two aren't up to par. Can we get a Heal Dixon prayer mat too?
Rees is the form Welsh SH, as was Evans last year. Not as if form has to do with the team selections right?

The Dragons scrum halves play behind a weaker pack as well. Rhys Webb is jaw droppingly ****, but got caps thanks to making a few breaks on the back of an Ospreys pack on top form. I would have probably preferred Aled Davies or Jonathan Evans ahead of Lloyd in Japan at the time (even though both are now 2nd choice), but after Lloyd had his chance in Japan where he was pretty dismal I thought another could get his chance. It seems he's a coaches favourite for some reason, not sure why.

Talking of coaches favourites, Scott Williams is being hyped up as "a superstar in the making" by Jeremy Guscott of all people. That's not a good omen. Remember when Guscott hailed Lee Byrne as "the best player in the world" only for that to promptly start his decline in form?

Tipuric was out of this world. One of the best openside displays I've seen in some time. It wasn't just the flashy stuff either. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, he's one of the most talented players in world rugby.
