Defender should have committed earlier. It looked like he waited too long on the tackle, by the time he decided to go for it it was too late and he could only go for the tap - couple of seconds earlier he was close enough to get hold of his waist

Paris is probably the fastest guy in Rugby in France no questions, under 11 secs for the 100mts and if he acceleratered at the right time Bolt would have had problems catching him, he is lightening fast

I mean he's quick, but I'd pick a few guys who I'd imagine to be quicker. It looked more like the cover defence just wasn't all that quick or committed early enough.

Ngwenya I'd say is still probably quicker (although we're now talking ProD2). Ratini is pretty lightening. I never trust 100m times from rugby players anyway unless they have been professionally recorded and published.

You say its common knowledge. Where is your empirical evidence of this? How do you know he is the fastest player?

Because you say it, it doesn't make it true. My statement was that I was surprised - as there looks to have been quicker guys in the Top 14 from what I have seen. It wasn't necessarily saying you were wrong. I just named two players that look quicker to me. If you have evidence that they are slower than by all means share it.

Not sure what hemisphere I am from has to do with anything. You say you have information as you are part of the French press or whatever, but I've seen better and more intelligent writing written in poo on a public bathroom wall - so forgive me if I question your superior local knowledge.

I dont catch many D2 games at all. I was going off Ngwenya's speed on the last EOYT which was rapid, burning the Romanian and Fijian team with amazing solo tries. He is one of the few rugby players I have seen with substantiated u11 second 100m sprint times - which used to be linked on his Eagles profile before they changed their website.

The burden of truth is on you because you made the statement. How do you know he is the quickest player in France? Initially I was just surprised and wanted more information - but now I suspect its just BS speculation which you backup saying its common knowledge.

As for the insults - you are the one who started theowing the "another SH poster who knows everything". Nothing in my initial post was personal. But like always you throw the toys out of your pram when someone calls you out on your BS.

Not sure how I'm the bad guy here, there was nothing inflammatory about my initial post. I never even said he wasn't 'one of the quickest', just that there are quite a few that seem TO ME to be quicker. WHERE ARE HIS 100m TIMES?! I am genuinely interested - but all I have got from inquiring is petulant "southern hemisphere" poster b.s and a million exclamation marks.
