[2019 Six Nations] Wales vs England (23/02/2019)

Farrell was definitely the issue, I feel.

Very odd decision making/tactics, and mixed execution.
No plan B at all.
In that sense having two easy games ****** us.
Wales played poorly the first two weeks so knew how to dig deep, change tactics and grit out a win

We applied our gameplan and had no idea what to do when it didn't work cause we just cake walked the previous two games

Lol, England getting a reality check, at least it will shut the moronic english journalists up who as usual have been hyping them as the worlds best team.
Eh up lads, someone who’s never posted before has turned. I’ll bet he’s here to commiserate England and congratulate them on a good performance in defeat. Let’s see what he has to say

Did we though?

Against Ireland one of the first things we did was "Give it Manu!", I don't know if he was given the ball to run straight at all in the first half.
We were probing fairly hard in phase play before kicking as far as I recall, today we basically just kicked it straight away - perhaps I've imagined that.

The second half was like watching in slow motion - "Oh, they really aren't going to change what they're doing".

Just losing in Cardiff is not the end of the world.
No I know, but they almost to a man looked fairly nonchalant about it. Least they could do is go down on their haunches and look a bit miffed for a second or two. ;)

We played the the game plan, not what was in front of us. It was pretty obvious that what worked against France was unlikely to succeed against Wales.

Was poor that the half backs didn’t realise that, but Jones should have and taken action much earlier.

Manu had one decent run through the Welsh back line the entire game. Thought that would really ignite England, but sadly it did not. Manu just wasn’t in the game enough. Faz, just kept kicking it away and badly. It was as though Jones didn’t want to take Faz off being the captain or didn’t want to shift Manu to 13 and shift Faz to 12 and bring Ford on at 10.

Wales went for one up so much in that second half and it just negated our line speed that worked so well in the first and and two previous games. Congratulations to Wales on the win though, they put in a great performance and thoroughly deserve the win.

On an unrelated note I really dislike the media (particularly the BBC) constantly going after Sinckler.
