This game is showing us a little. First of all, it shows the type of rugby Schmidt wants to play now and that Payne and Trimble don't fit it. Also that Italy are pooey.

He was never going to get it, so it becomes intentional

Doesn't change the result though, Italy are terrible. Ireland have been good, but the Italians don't even look bothered. Parisse has been shocking which you don't usually see.

You think the amount of experience and confidence McCloskey could get in this game considering how Italy are playing.

Trimble looks slow and the way the game is going Gilroy would really enjoy the open field game
