How to get into pro rugby?

Right, at the minuet I'm trying to increase my weight, I've started doing strong-lifts 5x5 and I'm eating around 3-5000 calories a day, By the time im 16 I want to be around 16-18 stone (14 now), Is that a good estimate for what I'm eating and doing now, or do I need to start eating more or something else? (by the way I want muscle mass not fat).
 
I've also already gone up 2.5lbs in 2 weeks and now weigh 202.5lbs/92kg/14.5 stone AND some of my jeans are starting to get to big for me (muscle takes up less space than fat and is heavier) so i guess this is a good start
 
The heaviest 2nd row on my team (18 and 6'5" I think) is only 98 kg of mainly muscle and it's good enough for Leinster. I'd say if you're 18 stone by 16 you'll be back in the front row. You know your body the best just make sure you keep your mobility up.

Have you ever lifted before you started the 5x5 program? If you haven't lifted before, you will likely gain quite a lot of weight in the early stages of your program.

90kg is pretty ****ing big for a 14 year old. At your age I would have been somewhere in the 5ft region and about 50kg lol. Now I'm about 6ft 2 and 94kg, but I'm 20.

3 or 5000 a day thats quite a difference. I´d be suprised if you could really eat that at 14. It would be unhealthy 5000 cal a day for a 14 imo. Also 5x5 at 14, you should be doing Push ups, pull ups, crunches etc. not 5x5.

I like that Olly repped you negative for saying Sale aren´t any good (they're tho!):p.
 
When you reach sixteen you could look at Colleges such as Moulton (Northampton not the only one but near you) that have strong links to club/county/region/country you will also be able to continue your education as well as play alot of Rugby.
Youngest son is there and is enjoying the rugby and college life; the main thing is you get an education if you don't make the grade.
NB 4 x England under 18+ a number of saints acadamy boys there at this time.

No offence mate but it's up to me what I do, I'm fed up of all this crap about how you shouldn't be lifting under 16 or whatever, there is no scientific evidence that it stunts your growth or any other crap like that, The governator started lifting weights at 15 and he's 6'2 and hasn't got any problems from starting lifting early! And I can quite easily eat 5000 calories a day because of GOMAD(gallon of milk a day) Which has about 2000 calories in it and about 60g of protein, on top of that I have 2 chicken breasts a day which is 140g of protein and not sure how many calories, all this along with a Main meal which has some sort of meat in.
 
Lifting weights and doing an intense 5x5 program can be two different things. I don't think anyone is necessarily suggesting it will stunt your growth, it may be more a question of whether your body at your age is up to it.

I'm not saying that your body is not up to it, but I'm pretty sure based on your response (''no scientific evidence that it stunts your growth or any other crap like that'') that you haven't done much research regarding the topic and I'm sure there are people who know more than you about it. Be a little more willing to listen to people with that stuff, playing the 'It's my body, I can do what I want' card with this is naive.

Also like JW said, there is a massive difference between 3000 and 5000 calories, I mean the latter is almost double the former and if you are expending say, 4000 calories worth of energy per day, then eating any less than that (e.g. 3000) will put you in a deficit where you can expect to enjoy zero gains and in turn will just be wasting your time.
 
I might not have done much research but my dad has and he says it is perfectly safe for me to do it. And I meant 4000 not 3000 calories

And again no offence but I will take my dads word over complete strangers.

Arnold also injected himself full of chemcials........generally there is a simply rule that i learnt in school, under 16/17 yr old, body wgt exercises. push ups, pull ups...body wgt sqts.

You can do what you want but the fella that told has lot's lot's of experience....and national coaching experience with olympic athletes and junior and child athletes.

whatever you do, be sure to listen to you body, and give it time to recover......you only get stronger through recovery.

ALSO I do the 5x5 program with my dad, each taking turns to do the exercises and be spotters in our home gym.

Thank you for your more advice based response, instead of shoving stuff down my throat type response :D
