Correct but at what point is a player considered in-goal if a body part touching the line whilst making the contact is not?

As a ex ref only at best level 5 most games in weeds but my point for what it's worth
First point in field of play slides well in field of play to me point of ball fairly irrelevant knew what he was doing.
Takes the 50 / 50 chance.

But…it’s Newcastle vs Bath b team so it’s going to be a boring watch.
