Wales v South Africa

At least I don't have to watch Beard play. I'd probably play Roberts outside center and keep Hawkins at 12. Hopefully the latter can back up his solid performance against the New Zealand All Blacks.

Take your pick between RMW and Hardy at 9. Don't care.

I'd like to see Rogers at 15 and play Murray on the wing with one of Giles or Mee on the other wing.

Mann is going to start every Wales game for the next 100 years so he's in obviously. I don't particularly want to see Thomas at LH after his display on Saturday but not much choice really. Rhys Davies has to play this game but any team selected here is going to get shafted. Mainly due to the gulf in quality but F me, Tandy hasn't half tried to screw us as much as possible with his squad management. I hope he knows his best team by the time we play England.

Apparently this is who we are missing: Marx, Thomas du Toit, Boan Venter, Lood de Jager, RG Snyman, Pieter-Steph du Toit, Grant Williams, Handre Pollard, Manie Libbok, Jesse Kriel, Cheslin Kolbe, and Edwill van der Merwe, who have all returned to their provincial unions and clubs.

Trying to get a sense of who we have left/what our team might look like for Saturday:
1) Steenekamp /Nchunu
2) Grobelaar / Bongi
3) Louw / Porthen / Ntlabakanye
4) Etzebeth
5) Nortje (Kleyn? How do we still have him if this is a yes since he isn't with an SA franchise)
6) Kolisi
7) Ben-Jason Dixon
8) Wiese (Kwagga/ Van Staden- Apparently these two are available despite being in Japan (Wiese and Kwagga that is))
9) Reinach / MVDB
10) SFM
11) KLA
12) DDA (Hooker - Another one (DDA) where we have a Japanese based player available it seems)
13) Esterhuizen
14) Moodie (I would've said Edwill - but I heard he is back because his wife just had their child - Feels light here too)
15) Willemse

The only thing I’m looking forward to is Kolisi saying nice things about Wales and its people after putting 80 points on us.

What has Tandy done wrong so far? First 2 he was pretty much playing Sherats team and strategy, then NZ he tweaked a few things...

Tandy needs a full 6N to be judged, this autumn was a hit out to see who could make the grade (and of course beat Japan).

Played Beard every minute of every game.

Yeah, I’m not suggesting Tandy gets the sack or anything.

This is such a pointless game. No wonder people are saying there could be a crowd as low as 30,000!. FWIW, SA will win by 30-35 points.

I'd go with a Wales side of:

01 Danny Southworth
02 Dewi Lake
03 Kieron Assiratti
04 James Fender
05 Rhys Davies
06 Morgan Morse
07 Harri Deaves
08 Aaron Wainwright

09 RMW
10 Dan Edwards
11 Blair Murray
12 Joe Hawkins
13 Joe Roberts
14 Tom Rogers
15 Jacob Beetham

16 Brodie Coughlan
17 Gareth Thomas
18 Chris Coleman
19 Ben Carter
20 Alex Mann
21 Kieron Hardy
22 Callum Sheedy
23 Rio Dyer

2 out of my 3 targets were achieved in the game against the New Zealand All Blacks. My targets for this game are:

Keep the loss at HT inside 21 points
Score 3 tries
Keep the loss inside 30 points.

I don't think we will see a 70 pointer SA score line. The Boks are a force to be reckoned with, but they do not play a style that runs in tries at speed. They have a quality back division, but they are the definition of a power game and love the set piece.
What they will want to do (and what they love) is just turning the screw, dominate the set piece, take a backwards, disintegrating scrum on over and over again. Grab pen after pen, force sir into giving cards and choke the life out of the opposition.
I can still see them putting 50 on very easily, but what we will see is a demonstration of controlled and relentless power Saturday from SA.

You can get 50/1 on a Wales win. Let's go!
I don't bet, but those are amazing odds in a two-horse race, and worth a few bob.

Someone (possibly Donald Trump?) once bet a million dollars on Buster Douglas to beat Mike Tyson, and when collecting his winnings the press asked how he knew Douglas would win. His reply (paraphrased) : "I didn't. But the odds the bookies were offering on the guy were too good to pass up"
