I think there's some confusing between going into administration, winding up petitions, insolvency, and ceasing to trade as an entity and having to restart as a slightly new club, and coming in at the bottom.

Lets say Wuss get bailed out and bought by this Toole...great happy for them and for the players and fans.

But Wuss and Wasps have shown how fragile rugby is...we need to get a more sustainable model, i dont know what i really dont but something needs to be done across the board.

I think it's shown more that it's not a place where you are going to make money. It is a playground for rich people but isn't that true of most sport outside of ringshopped leagues? How many teams are operating at significant profit margins? I don't think that we are learning anything new here. Just that rugby shouldn't be trusting of people trying to come in and spin a club's operations into money.

Maybe just better to have proof that a promoted team can spend over a certain limit.

Does he know the club that's been mentioned or has he just gotten whispers about another club being under trouble but no name if latter why would that rule out Falcons?

1. right now is a great time to get clicks recklessly speculating about doom at other clubs

2. a league policy about being able to get their homegrown insured (plus something about camera angles/TMO infrastructure) would make more sense if their motives were truly sporting

no, but I don't think it was a very insightful take. I'd venture most sporting clubs are on knife's edge at any given moment.

One of the minimum standards criteria is that the stadium must hold a minimum of 10,001 fans; this is to ensure the ground falls under the remit of the Sports Grounds Safety Authority (SGSA), regulated by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), and the Green Guide, as well as to be of a standard suitable for the top league of one of the nation's major sports. This has been in place for many years but was considered again when the standards were reviewed last season.

Mis-remembered the details as I only vaguely remembered reading about it in an article talking about Ealing Trailfinders lack of promotion a few months back,
That they reviewed the standards and did nothing about it as recently as last season is dumb as hell, though - unless it's tied to Government money or something?
All stadiums > 10k puts you in a higher funding bracket than the alternative?
RFU/PRL incompetence/old boys club is more believable though

I think most clubs CEO’s have been replaced in that time.

Look at Worcester that news only broke basically the day or two it went public. Only a handful of people at each club will truly know about the clubs true finances and taxes etc
