Sorry, it's been pointed out to me elsewhere that I've been unfair to Mr Goodhart, and I'm too late to edit the above.
He's not a self-proclaimed racist, and rejects the label.
He is perfectly open that those who know him best consider him to be racist, whilst he sees himself as merely a proponent of white self-interest. He doesn't think he's racist just that racist policies are good ones. He's got nothing against the BAME community, he just doesn't want them to be treated as being the equals of the WASP community.
