A] Absolutely, and not just for Ukraine
B] From what I'm reading around the webs, Ukraine "should" be "okay" even if this is the last one from the US. It's enough to plug the current shortfall, European production is ramping up (expected to be outproducing Russia by the end of this year), as is European collecting of other peoples' stock (about a year's worth of artillery ammunition (, and counting), with South Korea seriously considering serious contributions (presumably already contributing, but through the back door, or by supplying new stuff to other nations, who can send their old stock to Czechslovakia)

Yes I have been really pleased with the Czech initiative to raise the money to buy stocks on the world market. Also really pleased that a pro-Putin leader of Slovakia decided not to join that initiative only for the Slovakian population to do a crowd fund that surpassed the amount the government was going to give in the first place.
 
Geez did Majorie Taylor Green make herself look even more of a tw@t yesterday over funding.

Hopefully the bloated orange clown will be in jail. New York court has chosen the twelve jurors and six alternates. Trial (opening statements) to begin next week.

I think most Americans still support Ukraine. 👍 I sure do!

It's Chloropicrin which i didn't think is in CS and is legally outlawed. My CBRN knowledge is not up to date tbh so not 100%.

If Europe had had properly funded and ready armies then we wouldn't have had to rely on the US sorting out their petty internal squabbles to help Ukraine. The USA has proven to be an unreliable partner and Europe needs to cut off their reliance on the USA for security among other things.

Hopefully this is the kick up the arse needed to realise that the US actually is unreliable, rather than suspecting it, but them always coming through.
 
The US has enjoyed a lot of support from European Governments (even for highly questionable actions) in exchange for the security assurances via NATO and so if Europe is able to bulk up it's military to a sufficient level (which they should have been doing anyway in line with the 2% commitment) they should have more leverage and maybe be less obligated to support the US on things they don't agree with. Maybe America needs a kick up the arse too if it still wants to project global power and influence. I personally think the Israel Hamas conflict will be dragged out so that it influences the election with a view to portraying Biden as anti Israel. I bet the conflict curiously ends just after the election.

Ultimately Europe should be manufacturing most of it's own weapons / defence supplies and not giving big contracts to US arms companies.

I think something like the Falklands really highlighted that they are just in it for themselves. Supposedly their closest ally attacked by a military regime attempting to seize land. The USA could so easily have provided the resources to guarantee Britain would win but instead sat back, said we were nuts for trying and it was likely we would lose. Didn't lift a finger because they would prefer to court the favour of South American states over their supposed closest ally.

It's been decades coming, the USA cannot be relied on if it's not in their interest to help (except for Israel, who have a grip over US politics that no other nation has).

Europe already has a pretty fantastic arms manufacturing/military industrial complex. Britain, France, Italy, Sweden and Germany are all major arms exporters.

Yeah typical "we Russians would gladly have peace of it wasn't for those pesky westerns arming Ukraine so it can defend itself! Don't they realise it's their fault Ukrainian people are dying not ours, we only invaded to defend ourselves"
