Premiership Rugby 23/24 - Round 11

Now we've got a bit of time - can any forwards or refs explain the calls for Ackermann's 2 turnovers?

First seemed late, and in at the side, but ref gave him the okay, second one was very late, but the ref actively told him to go for the ball.
He seems to be operating on the basis that rucks no longer exist as soon as the players involved fall over, and everything is fair game after that.

It's wildly inconsistent with how every other game in the history of the sport has been referred but I suppose everyone at the ruck barring the tackled player is meant to be supporting their own weight so 🤷‍♂️

Well spotted commentators for that pull back on Redpath
A classic example of "It's only illegal if the ref notices"

Chris Harris is laughably slow these days
As good as he is in defence his speed undoes all of that good

As long as Lawrence doesn't change his line, that's noice

Thought TMO was going to bring that back, but ref is right, he doesn't change his line, so he's allowed to be there

Tbf I can't ever think of anything similar being pinged, he's the one which passed the ball originally, it's Harris as well he's never getting there, far too slow.
