Pick your Aus/NZ/SA team on form/reputation.

1. Robinson
2. Moore
3. Baxter
4. Horwill
5. Sharpe
6. Elsom ( If he doesn't come back, then McMenimum)
7. Smith
8. Brown

9. Burgess
10. Giteua
11. Mitchell
12. Barnes
13. Mortlock
14. Ioane
15. Gerrard

16. Polota-Nau
17. Alexander
18. Mumm
19. Palu
20. Genia
21. O'Connor
22. Horne

I probably wouldn't have Barnes there as his forms been below average this year but he played well last year. No Tuqiri in my side but he'll manage to get a starting spot because he's Lote Tuqiri.

Mine is pretty uninteresting but here it is.

1. Tony Woodcock
2. Kevin Mealamu
3. Neemia Tialata
4. Brad Throne
5. Ali Williams
6. Liam Messam
7. Richie Mcaw (He should be back well before then)
8. Rodney So'oialo
9. Jimmy Cowan (Him over Weepu only because Weepu can cover 9 and 10 making him more of a utility)
10. Steven Donald (If Danial Carter isn't back and Luke Mcalister isn't allowed to compete)
11. Joe Rokocoko (If he is in in form)
12. Ma'a Nonu
13. Comrad Smith
14. Liliam Mesaga
15. Mils Muliena

16. Andrew Hore
17. Jamie Makintosh (Or John Shwalger)
18. Ross Filipo
19. Adam Thompson
20. Peri Weepu
21. Hosea Gear
22. Cory Jane (or Toeava)

No Sivivatu due to injury as well as not being as good in my opinion as Hosea Gear. Dan Carter i don't think will be ready.

15. Muliaina
14. Masaga
13. Smith
12. Nonu
11. Sivivatu
10. Weepu????
9. Cowan????
8. So'oialo
7. McCaw
6. Thompson
5. Williams
4. Not sure on another lock. Thorn maybe?
3. Don't like any of the props either....
2. Hore
1. Woodcock

Nothing exciting... I do have a bad feeling about the Tri-Nations for us though...

Need a first five other than Donald. Not many world class locks either, despite trying to bring a few in in the last year or two...

Yeah I agree that our loose props suck. We really relied on Greg Sommerville and Carl Hayman (Who I wish would come home before 2011). I hate it how Tialata does side steps and then runs...what, a 127kg prop sidestepping a wing...come on.

For NZ the Chiefs back three have to be in.

I like Kaftka's team, but bring in Messam at 6.

I do like Sivivatu, however I think he is a very good Super 14 player who dosn't perform at his best in internationals, he seems to hold back and dosn't run it up as much as I like in backs, whereas Joe Rokocoko does run it up and beats everyone on a good day...the problem being is he hasn't had a good day in a while which sucks as I hope he beats Doug Howlett's try scoring record. I like Hosea as he is a very powerful runner and he dosn't try to be as fancy as Sivivatu. Mesaga gets in because in the competition so far he would be the brightest star followed in my opinion by Speis.

Haven't seen much of the Tahs this year but what I have seen of Turner has been pretty encouraging. He has speed, and has more individual skill then most Australian wingers running around. He's scored some pretty awesome tries. Admittedly I do have a bit of soft side for Tuqiri; but he breaks tackles, ties up defenders and generally always gets over the advantage line. It is like having another loosey on the field, and has played pretty dominant part in unleashing some of the more basic finishers. Trust me, I wish we had blokes like Sivivatu, Rokocoko, Masaga and the countless number of pacy SA wingers running around, but we don't. For me, Ioane would be more destructive in the last thirty minutes of the game, where he can cover outside centre and wing off the bench.

Very good topic! I am naming mine without looking at any other teams listed above.

16. Hore
17. Afoa
18. Filipo
19. Kaino
20. Weepu
21. Kahui
22. Toeava

No need for Donald IMO as Weepu is cover at both 9 and 10 meaning we have the option for two extra outside backs in Kahui and Toeava. I have a disliking for Thompson which is why I have Kaino on the bench in his place. I would love to include Masaga but I can't find any room for him in my team.

On form I would pick Masaga over Joe atm..[/b]

Oh definitely, but thats the thing about Joe. Never select him based on S14 form, just throw him the national jersey in any situation and he'll deliver.

AUSTRALIA

1. Robinson (best oz prop atm)
2. Polota-Nau (in better form than Moore)
3. Baxter
4. Horwill
5. Sharpe
6. Brown (not much good in lineouts but couldn't leave him out)
7. Smith
8. Palu

9. Burgess
10. Giteau
11. Tuqiri
12. O'Connor (distroyed barnes last weekend)
13. Mortlock
14. Turner
15. Hynes (I rate him as a full back)

16. Moore
17. Alexander
18. McMeniman
19. Pocock
20. Phibbs
21. Barnes
22. Ioane

I'm not saying this team will be the Wallibies team for the tri-nations, i simply picked it on form and potential...

1 Woodcock
2 Mealamu
3 Afoa
4 Thorn
5 Williams
6 Thompson
7 McCaw
8 So'oalo
9 Leonard
10 Donald
11 Sivivatu
12 Nonu
13 Smith
14 Rokocoko
15 Muliaina

16 Hore
17 Tialata
18 Boric
19 Messam
20 Cowan
21 Toeava
22 Kahui

Leonard at halfback because Donald will be at first five. Thompson is having a great season. Rokocoko steps up in te AB jersey. Mealamu over Hore simply due to the Props being both Blues teammates. Messam on the bench for his versatility. Masaga won't make the ABs due to his injury, very unfortunate.

Don't see many changes from last year. I won't be suprised if Kainois still starting, he played well for the ABs last year.
