World Rugby postpones July internationals

World Rugby has postponed all of July's international matches due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It means England's two-Test series against Japan, Wales and Ireland's tours of New Zealand and Australia respectively, and Scotland's series in South Africa are off.

I'm surprised they didn't do it sooner considering that the Olympics were postponed in March.

I'm surprised they didn't do it sooner considering that the Olympics were postponed in March.

They delayed the announcement because it appeared that the SH nations that would host these matches weren't as badly affected by the pandemic as the NH countries. But in South Africa, it appears that the unknown of when we will be done with the lockdown rules, is hampering the planning process, plus we are still banning international travel.

I think they wanted to see what's happening in the countries before making the announcement.
