New South Wales Waratahs are interested in signing Welsh scrum-halves Mike Phillips and Dwayne Peel, BBC Sport Wales understands.

Ill personally drive Phillips to the airport.

and I'll personally pitchfork them in the face if they come anywhere near Peel!

no offense to Sale, but Dwayne Peel is wasting his career with them

his international career has suffered a lot from his move there, I know at the time he signed the big "Sale of Sale" had only just begun, but I don't know why he signed a new contract with them a year back or so

on days when he could be playing for Wales, he often has to sit on the bench at Edgeley Park (when he was rotated with Wigglesworth)

if he was going to move away from Wales, he should at least moved to a good side, where his name would be continually talked about for a recall

look at what playing in a good side has done for James Downey's career, if he played for a team like Newcastle he would be more likely to be compared to John Rudd than a contender for the Ireland squad

Because he wanted to.

....Really ?

by the media yes

I quote Jeremy Guscott by this, not my words

Downey has played well for Northampton and does the basics very well. Look how well O'Driscoll played with a big centre during the Lions tour, it rejuvenated him and I think Downey would have the same effect as Roberts did.

I doubt he would be compared to Roberts if he was playing with Newcastle, more likely John Rudd

Because he wanted to.

still a stupid decision though

Why? He's in a team he obviously enjoys playing for, he enjoys living where he lives, and likes the people he plays with

Exactly ..its not all about winning ...at least thats what I tell myself as I cry myself to sleep...:p

I don't mind too much about phillips going as it puts him out of contention for Wales untill he potentially improves and returns to NH but Peel I dont want to see go, yes he could improve playing in super 15 but imo he's one of the better scrum halves in Wales right now and if he was to move he should move back to a welsh region or somewhere else where he can still get call ups for Wales.
