See also posts on "Goodbye aironi" thread http://www.therugbyforum.com/forum/showthread.php?27204-Goodbye-Aironi. The idea of a Federal team always was, and is, farcical. Apart from the short timescale for planning, locating and all the behind scenes work necessary, who's going to play in the team? (Ex) Aironi are already trying to find new homes (and some already have), and by the time the Celtic recomences, the standard of any team fielded by the Fed will be well below the level of the league.

In a worst case scenario situation in which the FIR can't get a team together in team, I wonder what the back up plan is. I'd imagine that the Celtic League would carry on regardless, but the ERC would have to find itself a new team. I'd hazard a guess and say Dragons.

There is no back-up plan. In the worst (probable) scenario I imagine that we (Italy) would be represented by Treviso.
