Some people on this forum have quite strange usernames to say the least. If you know you have a "special" ;) username and feel like enlighten us as to what illegal substance you were on when deciding on your username, please do. Or if you wanna feel like part of the crowd, eventhough your name is nothing special, you can join in as well (like me) :p

I'll start it off.
Steve-o is short for Steven (my 1st name). My mates call me that, but occasionally Scuba Steve rears its ugly head

red under the bed I'm a communist and it was a pisstake of mccarthyism and the hysteria it created.

Google up mccarthyism if you dont know what im on about.

DarkManX = Dmx.

One of my favorite rappers. Although I think some people assume that it has something to do with my skin tone.

woosaah... seen bad boys 2? no? watch it.

me and my flatmate at the time would go around saying woosaah all the time. I was looking for a username and i just had it stuck in my head.

its a very calming sound, and damn funny if you have seen the movie :)

back in my clubbing days, forums were becoming popular and when i started signing up to them, i was listening to a lot of hard trance. one of my favourite tracks at the time was Thomas Trouble - Insane Asylum, so i used InsaneAsylum. been using it ever since.

you wont find it in music stores so download it and have a listen if you're bored sometime.

My name isn't an existing word, hence the reason no one seems to be able to pronounce it correctly.

I needed a pseudonym, and as I was in an instant messenger conversation with a friend at that moment we started brainstorming together, eventually just coming up with names that didn't exist. Laetca is the altered form of a thing that friend sugested, I tweaked it a bit until I liked the sound of it.

Since then I've used it at every online place that asks me for a username, or a derivative form of it. Except for one forum where I didn't intend to become very active.

Right now, googling 'Laetca' will give either Russian text (at least I'm guessing it's Russian, I wouldn't know if it was another Cyrilic language, it could also be scientific mumbojumbo or nonsense), or me.
That last aspect makes me appreciate my name a lot. Especially since googling my real name directs to at least four different people, none of them me.

I got my name from Stephen King's book "Cell". The characters in the book named an uzi or some automatic gun like that "Sir. Speedy". It was just catchy, so there ya go. :p

I get my name from a cult hit Canadian TV show called Trailer Park Boys. One of the characters called another one a f***ernaut(like astronaut but with f*** instead). Point is I've been using it for ages, just having to change the u and c around so that I can use it on most sites. So yeah, go look up trailer park boys on youtube and when you instantly fall in love with the show, find a torrent site and start downloading. Classic stuff.

I love that show well done. :D

I was called Speedy when I was seven. It lasted until I was 14 or something. Has more to do with how tall I am and one of my last names though :p Luckily (?) I was then called Las Vegas. Which was amazingly funny when a friend of mine made a banner out of old sheets for my sixteenth birthday that said 'Viva Las Vegas' (she's a major Elvis fan) and managed to hang it in the hall in school.

Then it was Mouche, because of the Queen song Bohemian Rhapsody, it started as Saramouche and then got shortened to Mouche :p

All in all, all utterly ridiculous names xD

 It'd be funny to hear someone say "Oi Mouche (it is pronounced "Moosh" right? :p), get over 'ere!"

Yup, pronunciation is about right :p

I'm not getting the reference to be honest :p

In french, Mouche means fly. as in, the insect. Which made some people wonder why I was given an insect's name.

Well, in Wales, some people use the word "Mush" (sp?), well, Chavs do anyway. Like saying "OI MUSH, F-O!" They just looked alike, so I thought I'd point that out. ^.^

My Username needs no explaining.

I don't know if this has been done before but I would like to see how people pronounce 'An Tarbh' and guess what it translates to (no cheating) :p

I'm pretty sure it's already been explained before, previous avatars may have been a giveaway as well.

Cymro = Welshman in Welsh! [/b]
Your avatar needs no explanation.

.... from my favourite film Kung Pow!

Oh, Master Pain, go take a cold shower, yeah?
That's twice in the past 2 minutes you've referred to Cymro's avatar.

Mine's pretty self explanatory I would think, obviously Saints are my team. I was Jamie Lyon for a few weeks as well but changed it back by popular demand!
