Surprised, but glad, to see Cole starting over Castro. Disappointed to see Staunton on the bench instead of Twelvetrees.

Same,
I think Twelvetrees has really shown his worth over the international period/when Flood was injured

15 mins in, 0-3 to Tigers. Perpignans scrum is demolishing tigers platform.

Ayerza getting schooled by Mas in the scrum

I'm not a massive fan of Chuter, but he just cleared out three forwards from a ruck (including the 48stone Perry Freshwater) - that's just mad.

Perpignan intensity much higher than Leicesters,
Also, Perpignan seem to have realised that, while Tuilagi is fast and strong, he isn't very agile, and are just dancing round him

What the heeeelllllll
Ayerz was literally lieing on his back on the floor in that scrum, and then Freshwater gets pinged?

Lewis is going to get lynched when he leaves Stade Aime Giral after this match

Now he's just sent off both hookers. This is mad

Tigers have had umpteen chances to go for a DG and just get in the lead. Instead Tuilagi f-ing it up on the wingand now Perpignan are 5 points ahead. They fully deserve to lose this even though scrummaging aside USAP have been poor.

Leicester (and Italy) should build a monument for Castrogiovanni. ;) :p

Second half much better than first,
Thought Tigers might sneak it at the end, but Perpignan held strong. Their forwards were much better than Tigers today (apart from possibly Waldrom who was very good again) - USAP backs didn't look great, and Tigers (when they got the ball) were much better, but USAP forwards stopped them getting as much ball as they'd like
Think Leicester will win on the return fixture though (which I would go and watch if Welford Rd didn't cost a ridiculous amount to go to)

I enjoyed all the scrums, sitting at home all beered up and toasty and knowing the only time I'll ever have 1600kg of pressure on my neck is in a car crash.

After sending off the hookers, Lewis must have thought O F! when the replacements popped into the air at the next scrum.
