USA news & politics

I always felt it was wrong the Nuremberg trials never took into account charity work and love of kittens.

Maybe people should tell child abuse victims they are one eyed and should see the good there abuser did. They lack empathy and so on.

That's not fair, @Welsh Exile only brought up Saville and Hitler to make a point, sarcastically mocking him is childish.

There were go, let's all say it together, all 3 of Adolph, Joe and Donald can all be commended for being tee total...

Yes?

It's a tricky one. The WHO updated their guidance to say that there is no safe amount of alcohol that can be consumed but I've also read that an occasional glass of red wine has health benefits such as thinning the blood and thus improving heart health. Maybe I'll just sit on fence when it comes to praising people's choices when it comes to drinking.

It should be noted that processed foods are also very unhealthy and Don is a big fan of McD's and diet coke. Someone at my old gym found a discarded McD's bag that had been in a cupboard for over a year and the big Mac and fries inside had zero mould.

Congratulate? I would acknowledge and comend the money raised for the spinal injury unit, as would the children who benefit from it. Would you protest outside of it because of where the money came from?

And what about the British empire, I assume because their goal was global domination, and they committed atrocities, that no good came from it?
Who would you commend? The person who made it happen and was responsible for it, right? He ensured those positive outcomes.

The British empire was not much different to any other empire but you get into more tricky ground there as its history. One of the biggest mistakes a historian, or anyone looking at history really, can make is looking at, say, the actions of a leader in the dark ages through the lens of 21st century morality.

Not to mention we’re taking about single actions of individuals and empires involved nations spanning centuries.

The ASD is probably more responsible for Musks behaviours, I'm not sure shaming him for that is fair
Life isn't. I have absolutely no sympathy for Musk in any way shape or form whether it's because of ASD or Ketamine. He's out on the platform he brought sprouting all kinds of conspiracy nonsense (some about Trump) supporting the likes of Tommy Robinson and the German AfD party. He's cut aid to millions in Africa including HIV sufferer's. Why the **** should I care if my criticism of him is fair or not?

This tee total thing still going on? If that's something anyone even deems worth mentioning as a noteworthy positive trait then they really are clutching at straws.

It implies not being tee total is somehow such a vice that avoiding it is worthy of any sort of praise.

May as well praise someone for being able to no lie in at weekends, not get takeaways and not get involved with arguments online with strangers.

You guys are genuinely convincing me TDS is real!

Noones looking at British empire through 21st century lens though, they commited atrocities in the time they were deemed atrocities!

It's interesting that with the British empire there is nuance, but Trump 100% bad.

I don't think you genuinely think this way, I think this is about saving face, like defending Sam Costelow...

In Denver at the moment. Police presence seems to higher than normal downtown. Think a protest is planned for later. Can imagine they want to build momentum ahead of Saturday. Hopefully ICE don't pick me up.
