Kernohan, Penny and Houstan have all played for their provinces. Hawkshaw the skipper is highly rated as is Sean French and Wren from Munster. Others may have more detailed information on the best players than me. Nice to see a Mary's man in the squad. Another Scannell and Wycherley in the squad. I just hope that they're being bred ethically.
Another note I'm glad they're getting the games out of Dublin a bit. Makes sense.

Wales:

Forwards: Tom Devine (Dragons), Rhys Davies (Ospreys), Ben Warren (Cardiff Blues), Kemsley Mathias (Scarlets), Nick English (Bristol Bears), Dewi Lake (Ospreys), Cameron Lewis (Cardiff Blues), Will Griffiths (Dragons), Jac Price (Scarlets), Teddy Williams (Cardiff Blues), Morgan Jones (Scarlets), Ed Scragg (Dragons), Iestyn Rees (Scarlets), Ellis Thomas (Llanelli RFC), Tommy Reffell - (Captain, Leicester), Jac Morgan (Scarlets), Taine Basham (Dragons).

Backs: Harri Morgan (Ospreys), Jamie Hill (Cardiff Blues), Dafydd Buckland (Dragons), Cai Evans (Ospreys), Sam Costelow (Leicester), Aneurin Owen (Dragons), Tiaan Thomas-Wheeler (Ospreys), Tom Hoppe (Dragons), Dewi Cross (Ospreys), Deon Smith (Dragons), Caine Woolerton (Ospreys), Rio Dyer (Dragons), Alex Morgan (Gloucester), Tomi Lewis (Scarlets), Ioan Davies (Cardiff Blues).

The few stand out names are Cai Evans, Harri Morgan, Thomas-Wheeler who have all played a few games for the Ospreys, Morgan especially has impressed in his games. Sam Castelow is highly rated at the Tigers, although I've not seen him play personally. In the forwards another Tiger's player, Reffell is pretty good, Basham had a good Junior World cup and played a number of games for the Dragons last year. I'm struggling to pick some out of the front 5 though, someone else will a bit more knowledge hopefully can. I'm sure Dewi Lake has played a few games for the Ospreys though.

Backs

Tom De Glanville (Bath), Fraser Dingwall (Northampton Saints), Connor Doherty (Sale Sharks), Ollie Fox (Yorkshire Carnegie), Tom Hardwick (Leicester Tigers), Ollie Hassell-Collins (London Irish), Josh Hodge (Newcastle Falcons), Ollie Lawrence (Worcester Warriors), Sam Maunder (Exeter Chiefs), Cadan Murley (Harlequins), Cameron Redpath (Sale Sharks), Arron Reed (Sale Sharks), Ollie Sleightholme (Northampton Saints), Marcus Smith (Harlequins), Gus Warr (Sale Sharks), Kieran Wilkinson (Sale Sharks).

Hmmm Connor Doherty is a very Irish sounding name.
Not sure guys with names like De Glanville, Dingwall, Sleightholme and Capstick drawn from the time of King Cnut will have an Irish granny.

Billy will be best of all 3 Scannells.

Josh is a different type of personality to Fineen. A good player though.

Craig Casey is a good player too. Strange to have 2 backs as the C and VC though. Always prefer a forward myself

So Billy will be at worst decent? Noice.

Looks stronger than the last two squad, nowhere near the level of the Stockdale and Ryan team though.

Yeah it's a team with a good bit of talent but if we had a generational player like Ryan on it we'd know about it by now.

The Ryan team was considered weaker than the team that preceded it before the WC, think they had a poor start to the 6N as well.

It's really hard to tell how a team will go beforehand.

Penny has already played for Leinster as a teenager and is pretty good but probably limited by his size a bit. Byrne (Ross' younger brother), Hawkshaw and Milne all had a fair bit of hype in school.

Think Hawkshaw only ever lost one cup match.

I know alot of names from this squad which is a good thing, many of which with some prem experience.

So
1. Marcus street(1 or 3 im not sure)
2.
3. Ollie Adkins (again not sure 1 or 3)
4. Joel Kpoku
5. Richard Capstick
6. Ted Hill
7. Josh Basham
8. Tom Willis
9. Sam Maunder
10. Marcus Smith
11. Caden Murley
12. Cameron Redpath
13. Fraiser Dingwall
14. Ollie Sleightholme
15.

Thats just from memory so may be a few mistakes but the fact i can make almost a full 15 from memory is a good sign :)

Street's a 3 and I doubt Capstick will be a lock, he came through the age groups as a 7 and is only 6'3 and 103kg. Looks like a strong squad though.

Aaron Reed and Kieron Wilkinson have been getting a lot of senior game time for Sale this season so I'd imagine they'll be in our first choice 23,
Warr is really highly rated as well, works a lot with Faf de Klerk and has started to play in that same style. Wouldn't be surprised to see an all Sale 21, 22, 23 (though I'd start Reed)

Dolly is a unit, as well - I thought he was in his early 20s, only when this squad was announced did I realise he was this young.
Played a lot of openside before settling at hooker.

So the 2 i got wrong were the Chiefs? Well thats embarrassing as a Chiefs fan lol my bad.

Did not do the bench as i was running out of people i knew, but warr and wilkinson would have deffinatly become 21 22 and im not sure i remember who reed is though i know the name.

Looking forward to this tounement tbh, is it televised?

Winger, he's been getting game time since Yarde's injury (with McGuigan dropping in and out through internationals and hamstring issues). Started the last two Euro games for us

S4c and BBC Two Wales usually show the Welsh games, are the English ones on sky?

I think if Cole's featuring for the seniors we would be looking to have Heyes back. Would benefit more from starting at 3 for us than playing 3 or 18 for the under 20's.
